Is this ending about her true?I’ve heard that after killing Qimin, Qianqian’s ending in the novel is that…
Yes, I know. I mean that even after killing him, she’s still getting restricted in one place. It’s not like she only hated being held captive by Qimin. She wouldn’t like any kind of restriction since she values her freedom so much.
I’ve heard that after killing Qimin, Qianqian’s ending in the novel is that she becomes Empress Dowager but isn’t that the opposite of what she always wanted? When she ran away, Qimin had kept her in a mansion like other noble ladies. He didn’t lock her in a room. She ran away because she wanted freedom. I think this is where her being a transmigrator matters, because any maid in her position might have been happy but for her it felt suffocating. Even if the show hasn’t clearly stated it yet, they’ve given enough hints that she’s from the future.
Her whole character is built around freedom. If she becomes Empress Dowager, wouldn’t that mean she’s trapped in one place forever? Is that really what she wanted? Not to mention, she would have to live alone for the rest of her life without a partner.
The palace is already cold and boring. We’ve even seen the princess royal, who was raised in that era with strict noble values, run away multiple times.
Her ideal ending would be returning to modern times but I doubt the show would go that far for a secondary character.
I'm a bit confussed about Xie Zhang's personality. One moment he seems possesive and he would never let her go…
I think he was possessive in the novel. But in the drama, to make him more of a green flag, they’re showing him letting her be free. Otherwise, they couldn’t justify Qimin being evil if both of them were holding their wives captive😅
It is a technique, not an obsession. Heighten one emotion by the fast contrasts. The viewer gives up self-control.
But they almost always do that. It just makes the leads feel like they have sibling energy. It’s so hard to find Kdramas with that sultry, intense romance As a genre, I love comedy most but everytime? no
One thing I have to appreciate about Cdramas, even in a normal peck on the lips, they can create so much tension. Kdramas rarely do that, even in full on kissing scenes. I thought the second couple had a very tense relationship, which is why they looked so hot but today’s kiss of the main couple was heart fluttering too. I don’t understand the obsession in Kdramas of turning every romantic scene into a comedy
Today’s episode felt like filler. All these just for Xie Zheng’s truth to come out. Also, since it’s only one episode a day, it feels more unnecessary. Maybe if they released two episodes a day, I would’ve enjoyed the comedy atleast
I am sooo tired of white hair man and his angst that he decides to release on QQ for no reason whatsoever. People…
Both characters are part of the story. It’s not random. I think their relationship will also be important for the upcoming plot and they weren’t 'kissing' underwater.
Is Pursuit of Jade actually worth watching? I checked it out because of the rating, but I’m not feeling the…
i'm not a cdrama watcher but I really love it and find it very engaging. The first 10 episodes only focused on the leads. They introduced other characters after that. Even though the leads aren’t together now, there are many other plots going on and even some love stories.
Beating a mad to death to scare your kid is acting evil? I think he’s already past the acting stage.
I didn’t mean that he’s pretending to be evil. I meant he’s pretending in front of his brother. According to the spoilers, he was drugged, so bringing the kid into this world was something he was forced to do. Still, what he did today was very vile. I’m just saying he can’t survive if he stops being vile. He’s also very sick.
Sui Yuanqing feels really evil to me. He has no sob story. He’s always after power, killing people and going after every girl he comes across. He gives off heavy rapist aura😭Can’t believe the actor is so young and handsome, yet he nails the character so well. Qimin is just trying to survive. If he didn’t act evil or pretend, he’d get wiped out.
If I can have a little help: I just finished ep. 12 and I must say I'm simultaneously annoyed and very bored with…
Girl they're the main course for some people😭 But they only had about three scenes together and they weren’t very long. You can skip them tho if you only care about the main couple.
I thought Qimin would get some character development here, the way they were promoting the couple even offscreen. But I guess not. Ngl it would’ve been interesting to watch two obsessed husbands, one positive and one negative, if he weren’t that evil.
Korean drama writing has gotten so bad these days that it’s miserable to watch.
You can’t say that just from watching this. I’ve already watched three 10/10 dramas in just the first two months of 2026. 2025 was a bad year for Kdramas but I’m hoping better ones will come.
is this good and wildly addicting : YES is it worthy of 9.1 : HELL NO
I disagree with your opinion. It deserves a 9.1. But you’re lucky the user “precious” probably isn’t watching this drama or you would’ve gotten attacked with botted likes.

These two second leads really bother me lol
