Yeah, in the book he also almost everyday talks to his mom when he has free time (but not showed everything about that part cuz the main focus not his relationship with his mom). And she left him with his oldest aunt who living alone, also he's the only nephew for his 2nd auntie so all of his father's families loves him sm.
