No way another body swap storyline. 😭 I kinda see why they decided to do it but the writers really couldn't think of anything else? no one has done it better than Mr. Queen so im always unimpressed when shows choose to go this route. - but let's see how it turns out!
This really warmed my heart such a good story SWL and ZJM had good chemistry thank you for bringing Xigua & Yusen characters to life. in years to come SOM will be considered a classic ❤️.
I'm enjoying this. idk this could just be me but Bao & Mr. Yan I feel something, I like their chemistry. attractive men everywhere let's just have multiple concubines 😭 Neo is so good! I'm obsessed with his eyes LJL is such an interesting character he's so smart and strategic he catches things no one else would.
Sometimes I wonder if Ye Rong is aware of how rich NXG is because what gave her the confidence to talk to NXG…
As an Assistant mind you. 💀 but she did that because of her insecurities she want to appear to everyone she's better than her even if she does have money.
rong and zhangxu are such odd individuals rong has never once been a true friend to nxg. after all this time she's still bitter and jealous always trying to take every chance she gets to prove that she's better than her and nxg is just rich. while being an heiress nxg has been nothing but humble and wanting to do her own things without her families influence. I don’t even like that kind of bragging, but rong needs a serious reality check nxg could be your boss. zhang xu does nothing but belittle her, never believed her once, let the others gang up on her, not straightforward about is feelings every conversation they have had he's been rude to her because of his own misunderstandings that he creates in his head. how nxg ever liked him is beyond me.
no. after she stood up she became dizzy and fell backwards, baek ajin reached out for her.
It was written to make even the viewers doubt her (though it is understandable given the circumstances) I think she was starting be okay with that life she had with inkang and his grandma; she was the first adult who actually took care of her unconditionally then everything started crashing down after her death, and she went back to reality.
One thing I wanna bring up — it’s so refreshing to see royal siblings who genuinely trust and care for each other. Growing up in such a toxic environment from BOTH parents, and hearing all those things from his mother, the second prince never once held any ill will toward his brother. They never saw each other as enemies, and that just goes to show what a good brother Feng Suige is — nurturing, loyal, and loving them unconditionally. BROTHER OF THE YEAR! We need more sibling dynamics like this!
Also Li Qin and Chen Zheyuan as Fu Yixiao and Feng Suige were phenomenal. Fu Yixiao is everything I wanted in a female general — sharp, smart, strong, and with an aura that screams leadership. Li Qin plays her with such intensity and grace; she completely embodies power and charm one of the best written female leads i love her. And Feng Suige — bold, fearless, yet deeply layered. Growing up amid palace intrigue, betrayal, and endless expectations, he isn’t just a cold strategist — there’s courage, ruthlessness when needed, but also moments of sorrow, protectiveness, and empathy. Chen Zheyuan portrayed all that his facial expressions and demeanor were so flawless. Their CP is easily one of my favorites this year. The enemies-to-lovers arc was delivered so authentically — every step of the tension, grudging respect, and slow burn felt earned. They communicate, challenge, and protect each other. No pointless drama, no forced misunderstandings. Just pure acceptance, mutual growth, and love.
Something i couldn't grasp were her classmates animosity towards her? yeah, they became remorseful after they found out the truth; but it still didnt make sense how they made her school life hell. why are you bullying her because of her sister dying of a supposed illness?
Just finished and honestly, I’m still thinking about it.From episode one, it had a clear direction and stayed committed to its themes. The story might not be flawless, but it delivered exactly what it set out to — emotional depth, tension, and a satisfying arc. What really stood out to me was the chemistry between the leads. Song Zuer truly shined in her role — so strong, layered, and full of heart. Liu Yuning gave a solid performance too, but Manman stole the show for me. Their connection felt believable and intense without overdoing it; I'll be waiting on their next 3 dramas thank you! The pacing, the music, and the way misunderstandings were handled with actual communication (what a concept!) made it feel mature and intentional. Loved seeing the characters grow while still staying true to their values. my only qualms are the 2nd fl/ml didn't get enough screentime for me and it felt like the last 2 ep was a bit rushed other than thatDefinitely one of my favorite C-dramas this year. A well-deserved 9/10.
The mystery and slow-burn tension are well-executed early on, especially with the memory loss angle and the power dynamics in the merchant family; we coulda really had a compelling complex historical thriller. then the pacing started to drag; it seemed like the story prioritize shock value over character development.. also the suggestive incestuous undertones were very off putting. The main points were the cinematography it was great and Jaewook was PHENOMENAL in this role.
THE PLOT: He Rui Xian & Fan Zhi Xin are the only reasons I'm here, they are so pretty and they have such good chemistry. also Fan ZhiXin definitely need better scripts to showcase his potential he's so charismatic onscreen!
