This one was honestly frustrating for me. There are very few moments when it feels like Mi Yue is actually making…
she's a lot more cunning and assertive in politics in the qin empire 2 and 3. i like her characterization there a lot more too

what do you mean by sex positive
i think op meant to say she did not shy from using sex to get what she wanted (i.e. whatever happened between her and king yiqu) instead of finding an excuse like the late king huiwen impregnated her in her dream

Review Novoland: Eagle Flag Spoiler
It frustrates me so much to see the drama viewers say Asule is weak, boring and has no character growth, but I understand it. Asule is indeed gentle and kind, but he's also strong and courageous and has a brain to use too. There were supposed to be Xi Yan who taught him military strategies along with Ji Ye and Yi Tianzhan (who was supposed to be a respectable Tianqu leader and Yu Ran's grandfather, not a random Tianqu old fart) who taught him sword skills. Asule was more of a bystander in Shangyang Pass, as a Qingyang crown prince he did not have to participate in the vassels' war and he was only there because Xi Yan told him to be there and get more (fighting) experience. But that was also where he learned and grew a lot after fighting Li state and zombie warriors, not the getting stabbed and being resurrected nonsense, but we have to see it for the lovelines <3 The most important event to show Asule finally became fully mature was when he returned to Qingyang when his tribe was facing the threat of being destroyed by Shuobei tribe and entered a civil war itself shortly afterward, again drama-only watchers couldn't really see it because the Northern Continent plotlines were almost entirely eliminated. Honestly, what's the point of a story about a Qingyang prince from the Northern Continent when the Northern Continent plotlines are deleted?

Personagens principais são insuportáveis, todos os 3, é como em naruto, são igualmente irritantes, mas a história…
as a fan of the novels i'm very upset to see how the show turned out. as a fan of asule i lost my words to see him and the trios butchered and treat each other like that in the show. i saw on douban that the actor who plays xie gui thanked the author of a xie gui's character essay and was very sad because he was cut from the show, but maybe it was best not to see his character being portrayed like in the show or else i have to mourn for another favorite character massacre again.

wasted potential staterd super and ruin by love plot and triangle....it xould be something bigger ...feel sad…
it's such a shame because the original novels were never about love triangle and the focus was not about love, but rather about courageous young people on their journey of gaining and losing their important things, growing up, embracing their responsibilities and defying fates. the focus was more on friendships and companionships, but you can still feel love was there without a lot of words

i would like to ask if the novoland adaptations (TV SERIES and MOVIEs). if they follow the novels or do they branch…
if you want to both read the novoland eagle flag novel and watch the show, watch the show first because it's very different and far inferior to the books
