The Armors Are Not Here Anymore
The screenwriters (including the author Jiang Nan) think the watchers are stupid so they have to add bloated love lines to attract TV viewers and butcher all of the essence of the novels, yes including the story and all of the characters. It was full of plot holes and logical faults but my reactions could have been milder if I hadn't read the books, unfortunately, I did. As a watcher of the show, I am sorry for the filming crews and the actors having to work with this low-quality screenplay. As a fan of the books, I am so sorry for my beloved characters, both those who were butchered and those who got completely cut from the show, tho maybe it was best not to see the missing ones get their characteristics massacred too. This is not the Novoland Eagle Flag, the Nanhuai trio, or the Tianqu warrior spirit that I know. There is no fire in "The Armors are Still Here!" slogan anymore, now those are only empty words. I did not like Novoland Tribes and Empires novels and I recognize the show has flaws as well, but I'd rather watch it because there's at least sincerity and care to show the Novoland world for the first time on screen. In contrast, the Novoland Eagle Flag novels are way better and I'd say it's the most representative series in the Novoland world, but too bad the author/screenwriter is now a businessman who only wants cash grabs and does not care about his own child, characters, Tianqu warrior spirits or Novoland anymore and only the books fans are hurt the most after watching this travesty.Was this review helpful to you?
