This is not Youku’s fault. Why? Our Generation is a Daylight Entertainment drama, so the distribution license is held by Daylight Entertainment—not Youku. Daylight Entertainment only authorized Youku to air it exclusively on Youku Mainland China.

This also happened with other Daylight Entertainment dramas. For example, Created in China is only available on Tencent Video (Mainland China), and Romance in the Alley is only available on MangoTV (Mainland China).

However, their dramas are made available internationally through Daylight Entertainment’s official YouTube channel.

So please stop blaming Youku. If Youku International airs this drama without proper authorization, Daylight Entertainment has the right to sue them for copyright infringement since Youku International does not hold the license for international distribution.

Daylight Entertainment already has separate streaming agreements with platforms like Netflix and Viki for the international release of this drama.

Since Moonlit Reunion is a Linmon Production drama, if their drama in other platform not air in early July, Moonlit Reunion has a high chance of release.

Linmon Production for sure will take a rest from now and continue next month for moonlit Reunion.

However, Love in the Clouds is still incomplete in post-production, particularly in editing and other finishing touches. As a xianxia drama, the editing process takes more time. Meanwhile, When Destiny Brings the Demon has already started investment promotion and is expected to air next month on Youku.

"Moonlit Reunion" is a Linmon production. Their most recent drama, A Dream Within a Dream, just finished airing on iQIYI. Linmon can wait until Tencent Video has an available slot. According to the latest rumors, Legend of the Female General is scheduled to air in early August, so Moonlit Reunion is expected to premiere in mid to late August.

Legend of the Female General cannot be postponed any further. It was originally slated to air in January but was delayed due to issues involving one of the actors. Since it will air on Hunan Satellite TV, and has already been postponed for months, it can no longer be delayed.
