Just completed the drama today. To answer some of your questions they are no second male lead syndrome it isn’t that type of drama. it’s more war/political strategy. Romance is second to none due to FL role of being Grand Princess of State. No cheating or love triangle. If you like strategy/war drama without romance than watch it! Ending is satisfying villain gets his justice served.

I read the novel romance is towards the end when it’s resolve. it’s mostly time travel and soul swapping eg. Lin Yi(Zhang Jingchan) soul is inside Ai Mi body in the past, while Ai Mi(Li Weiyi) soul is in Zhang Jinchan(Li Yi) body in the past. Tell me how is that going to involve romance when they are trying to save their family. The villain will be obsessed with Ai Mi character and in the novel he is way older than FL.

by going with your logic, you had no problem with Zhao Jinmai being 17 or 18 years old when she filmed The Blessed girl with Lin Yi when he was 20. that is considered being a minor being paired with an adult. Yet, there was no kissing due to age gap of being a minor. China has strict policies with their drama and minor being casted with other colleagues. What’s the difference, there will not be any intimate scenes in this drama.

Lin Yi will be 30 in 3 years(2029), he’s turned 27 this year. This drama is fantasy, and will not have any Romance. There are no kissing or other intimate scene, since China has a strict policy. it will be liked The Blessed Girl from 2021 with Zhao Jinmai when she was 17 or 18 years old and Lin Yi was 20.
