FYI, don’t you know JJY is currently filming an S+ female centric Lai zhan? 😂 Do you really think a high profile production like Stellar would make her the main lead if she didn’t have the popularity and skills to back it up? Again, it’s a FEMALE CENTERED project. Her next project is also S+ female centered and directed by a well-known film screenwriter, it’s unlikely they’d cast her as the lead in these high budget dramas if she hadn’t proven herself.

As for VOS current lineup, I don’t think it has much to do with popularity. From what I can tell, Gjm doesn’t seem to be stirring up trouble, he’s probably just focused on making the lineup visually aesthetic and balanced, rather than catering to fan expectations.

I didn’t say that dramas don’t release magz while they’re airing 😭. What I meant is that most dramas usually only get ONE promo magz and it can come out at different times, either during filming, while the drama is on air, at the finale, or even after the drama finishes airing. So far, VOS has already released its promo magz while they were still filming, which is kind of early compared to most dramas. Usually, multiple magz back to back only happen for really special projects or super-hyped releases.

Yeah, it was me who said that! 😂 Youku only ever gives one promo mag, same goes for iQIYI and tencent. I swear I’ve never seen a drama getting 2 or 3 promo mags back to back. Like, after that one mag feature, the usual lineup starts, variety show, interviews and sina visits. But if a drama actually gets more than one magz, you just know the platform’s treating it like their precious golden child.
