Can someone who've seen the Korean version please spoil me what the fallout between the two is? thanks.
In the original Korean version, Heungsoo (Shin) needed to get out of the gang that him and Namsoon (Saint) were in so he could pursue a soccer career. In order to get out of the gang, it was agreed that the members were to give him one good beating. Namsoon just so happened to make a bad blow to his knee during the beating which permanently prevented him from being able to play soccer. Heungsoo was admitted into the hospital for his messed up leg, and Namsoon felt too guilty to ever show up and comfort his friend. Heungsoo was forever angry not that Namsoon hurt him, but that his closest friend abandoned him when he needed him most. They both took some time off school, moved, and fell out of touch as Namsoon was too guilt-ridden to ever make an effort to reach out again.
While there are a lot of similarities, it's definitely apparent that the Thai version is taking the story in a different direction. I'm curious to see how they'll play out the characters' history, because I'm sure they'll make changes.
INSANE. I was waiting on pins and needles for a season 2 for three years after the first season aired. It's been about 5 years since I gave up all hope lol. This news both excites me (finally a better conclusion than what we got) and scares me (please let the second season be as strong as the first). I guess time to rewatch Signal for the third time..
Can someone who is not usually a bl fan and watched it say if this drama is really that good (when it comes to…
I think the storyline and acting are exceptional. Imo some of the scene cuts are a little awkward and other moments felt rushed. I think that is mostly a by-product of the short 30 minute episodes and the director having to make cuts to fit within the time limit. All things considered though, I was impressed with how much story they were able to convey in such a short amount of time and it really pulls at the heartstrings in all the right ways. I gave it a solid 8/10 and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
It's literally just a name. Any person would give a name during a donation and no, it doesn't automatically make them self-centered. It's not up to the public to determine what her intentions were, whether for attention or for charity, just take it as it is. She's helping good causes, who are we to negate her actions by THEORIZING she has an alternative motive. Also don't forget she came from poverty, I'm sure a lot of the causes hit close to home for her.
This show was a wild ride. Downloading the Mnet app to vote everyday, trying to convince others to vote too, the heartbreak when Woongki was eliminated, waking up at 4 in the morning to watch the finale, the excitement over the final lineup but the sadness over my one-pick not making it (Phanbin). 8 months later and I'm still not over it. Will we get another competition like this show again?
