Ok I only saw episode 1 but what was that fight scene and those punching sound effects and the gun that looked fake, everything about the scene looked super unrealistic to me

Ok just started ep 2 and I wanna say I wish whenever foreigners speak English in k dramas there would be SUBTITLES cause as an English speaker I constantly struggle to understand them, I am finding the show good btw especially happy to see the main ml he's really good just watched him in kidnapping day and actually so many familiar faces in this

Loool I just watched episode 6 and was literally thinking what's wrong with him and that he will end up with Lena cause she acc cares about him, such an interesting comparison seeing him getting hurt defending her and then seeing her with someone else
I think he loves her and that makes you do irrational things I also think he carries a lot of guilt from their childhood cause it was his own mum who was abusive towards her and he probably felt bad that everyone abused her so that bonded them and maybe he started to see himself as her saviour even though she has a nasty side I guess he can't help this overwhelming sense of responsibility and care towards her and it's blinding him from seeing that his life will end up in chaos the more he associates himself with her
I think most importantly he wants her to be happy and is willing to do anything even if it means she's not happy with him but I think his true desire is that she cares about him and protects him in the same way he protects her and that they can be together and be happy together although I don't think she's good for him
I just really processed why he might be the way he is now in this comment but when I see him helping her in the show I either feel bad for him or angry like stand up for yourself also cause some of the stuff could get him in trouble

I know the FL isn't well off what I meant was I hoped he would her in a more realistic way like with money, I did enjoy the show for a bit I guess for me it just didn't tell a story probably just not my genre which is fine with me, thank you for attempting to explain things from your view for me I'm happy you found it healing

Idk seems like the girl could have used some real help and real money rather than a magician who is mentally ill and making monopoly money fall from the sky, this is just a show so if they're going to go to all the trouble of adding magic into the show why not just make it real what's the point in telling us the magician is actually mentally ill fair enough it gave her hope but real actual help would have given her just as much hope,

Yh definitely valid to push him but show that why get me invested into thinking it's real magic that doesn't give me hope it just wastes my time I'm not the girl I'm a viewer looking to be entertained if they want to make him have a mental illness I don't mind but explain that like was everything we were seeing true magic or not

I still stick by my comment I think it's a piece of art and the creators got carried away with no concrete direction like so many other k dramas beautiful cinematography but no real story no real depth

Very good but be prepared to feel very unsettled and uneasy very tense too but definitely recommend

Maybe they did but I couldn't see their motives for it look how girlfriend is living now too poor and sad I don't think it was her I guess it's possible they were blackmailed too like frame your boyfriend or we will kill your family or something not impossible

Yh your right prison guards don't care for the inmates at all it's not uncommon and taking into account ml crimes it's understandable I just found the contrast of their actions interesting that when they are getting paid all of a sudden they can be harsh towards the prisoners but when it doesn't benefit them they just let ever slide

This show definitely shows the violence in prisons, the hierarchy amongst prisoners themselves

Is that why that one prison inmate who had face tats his nickname was translated as etch a sketch on the subtitles I had, thought that was funny

I ran over here after watching ep 4 that scene where he fights everyone and gets thrown into confinement I laughed so hard it was like I was watching a comedy they cannot be serious he was ganged up on almost killed he had so many Stab wounds but he was punished okay 🥲

Prison guards are useless all episodes in preventing fights but at the end of episode 4 they are really roughing them up and throwing them into that van

I really wanted park jae tung to escape the prison and when he didn't I was waiting for the reason he survived the poisoning I'm not so sure I believe it but ok sure, I was low-key hoping they wouldn't recognise him when he collapsed outside and would just be taken to a normal hospital that was just wishful thinking tho

I was sad the other framed prisoner died I thought they could work together ml and new framed prisoner to get revenge

Was the villain bidding against the person he was making buy the sculpture at auction and are those his own sculptures he's bidding on?

I'm confused about the two prison guards I remember there was one that gifted ml a plant and one that tried to use him in the fighting match are they the same guard or different I'm confused about that

Kinda weird that the new framed inmate figured everything out straight away but the ml was still not aware what really happened after years in prison

Some comments are saying the male villain doesn't play the role well but I think he's one of those silent unhinged villains although his face isn't always the most expressive also why was he wearing an earpod in the last scene of ep 4, hes unhinged especially that one scene with the nanny who had blue eyes
Btw it almost seemed like he made that outdoor activity for the prisoners because of park jae tung but I can't be sure because they don't show us his facial expression when he sees his name in the booklet of prisoners who are doing the volunteering

Also that prison is ran really badly when the inmate with the scar on his face was beating up park Tae Jung I couldn't help but wonder why the heck they haven't transferred him somewhere else since he is always getting beaten up

Also the prison guard says he doesn't think the ml lead poisoned himself but doesn't look into how it could have happened
I could go on forever, love it so far tho lots of action suspense drama very enjoyable and the first Disney k drama I actually like hopefully this only gets better and better

Yup for alchemy of souls I couldn't connect to the character either and ultimately just couldn't get over the switch even tho I know know the soul was the same maybe it could have worked if I pretended it was a stand alone show idk I was very disappointed

I get your point I think I'm confusing gory and action scenes because nowadays a lot of action scenes have gory scenes mixed in

I once watched a c drama the action scenes was outstanding and involved a lot of flying/mid air action beautiful to watch

Yh I agree with you lots of shows that just add violence for a wow factor and I have been desensetized cause sometimes I would cover my eyes but it's very normal these days I'm used to it. The defects would be a no go for you

Your point about multi season shows is very interesting it's just made me realise when I watched them I actually mainly watched comedy shows where there was really no end to the story because every episode was different and wasn't necessarily building onto a bigger story

I will say I watched blacklist hoping to find out the truth and learn new information and there was always more questions than answers so you just keep watching and watching although I got like 4 seasons in and started to realise it wasn't worth it then there's that stage you get to where you wanna give it up but it keeps pulling you back in before you drop it

I tried watching a few episodes of the art of negotiation couldn't get into I don't mind trying new genres either I was never a big fan of crime shows that had were about solving murders but a lot of those shows had a lot of the action scenes so they grew on me

Yes they are trying to change the landscape I feel like it'll never get to like a show having 10 seasons I just feel like the writers don't know how to do that the only show with more than two seasons I can think of rn is yumis cells and I think taxi driver is getting a season three

I will say I'm pretty excited bloodhounds is getting a second season and I can't wait for it I just hope it'll be good but even if it's not I'll get to see the duo I like actually that is one way weak hero class differed in season two I think only one original cast member was kept in with some cast members appearing but as flashbacks or memories only

Omg alchemy of souls please don't even get me started that was my biggest heartbreak I loved part one so much and so excited for part two I gave it a chance but I just couldn't finish it the way the story was going was so upsetting and of course hiring a new actress was all just a no from me it's times like that I wish there was no season 2 the thing is I feel k dramas don't really need a season 2 because the first season is a complete story by itself

I hope you always look on the bright side and get to finish your long list of shows

Aha Ive watched a shop for killers I liked it personally but understand why you wouldn't since your not big on violence and some dramas this year have been very violent I was gonna suggest you stuff from this year like trigger until I read it's not your genre, walking on thin ice is good but does have violence, I loved study group, did you catch season 2 of weak hero class came out this year

I only saw a few episodes of tempest tbh I liked that I saw but the storyline for me was a bit confusing and very politics heavy so I was a bit lost

It's so interesting you have up on us shows because they are multi season cause sometimes I wish k dramas were multi season
Ever since watching k dramas tho I have also given up on them less because of the seasons and more because the content gets more r rated as the time goes on no matter the genre it seems even if the show itself is good so I way prefer k dramas and I find a lot of the stories very original

I can understand why you would stick to c dramas the k drama selection hasn't been the best this year

Light shop I wouldn't bother with honestly it's mainly just like imagery I didn't understand one episode of it and terrible pacing

Maybe you can watch deaths game it's not from 2025 if you haven't seen it I quite enjoyed it

I liked the defects from this year but it definitely wouldn't be your thing it's very gory and it was a super hard watch, so Ive liked a few k dramas this year but there have been more I started and couldn't finish like ms incognito or typhoon family
