To answer some of your questions, especially with respect to how the prison guards behave or react to the situations…
Yh your right prison guards don't care for the inmates at all it's not uncommon and taking into account ml crimes it's understandable I just found the contrast of their actions interesting that when they are getting paid all of a sudden they can be harsh towards the prisoners but when it doesn't benefit them they just let ever slide Aha ok cause I kept wondering about the nice guard like what happened to him This show definitely shows the violence in prisons, the hierarchy amongst prisoners themselves
I ran over here after watching ep 4 that scene where he fights everyone and gets thrown into confinement I laughed so hard it was like I was watching a comedy they cannot be serious he was ganged up on almost killed he had so many Stab wounds but he was punished okay 🥲
Prison guards are useless all episodes in preventing fights but at the end of episode 4 they are really roughing them up and throwing them into that van
I really wanted park jae tung to escape the prison and when he didn't I was waiting for the reason he survived the poisoning I'm not so sure I believe it but ok sure, I was low-key hoping they wouldn't recognise him when he collapsed outside and would just be taken to a normal hospital that was just wishful thinking tho
What's the relationship between the electric store owner and the ml leads old girlfriend is that her dad?
I was sad the other framed prisoner died I thought they could work together ml and new framed prisoner to get revenge
Was the villain bidding against the person he was making buy the sculpture at auction and are those his own sculptures he's bidding on?
I'm confused about the two prison guards I remember there was one that gifted ml a plant and one that tried to use him in the fighting match are they the same guard or different I'm confused about that
Kinda weird that the new framed inmate figured everything out straight away but the ml was still not aware what really happened after years in prison
Some comments are saying the male villain doesn't play the role well but I think he's one of those silent unhinged villains although his face isn't always the most expressive also why was he wearing an earpod in the last scene of ep 4, hes unhinged especially that one scene with the nanny who had blue eyes Btw it almost seemed like he made that outdoor activity for the prisoners because of park jae tung but I can't be sure because they don't show us his facial expression when he sees his name in the booklet of prisoners who are doing the volunteering
Also that prison is ran really badly when the inmate with the scar on his face was beating up park Tae Jung I couldn't help but wonder why the heck they haven't transferred him somewhere else since he is always getting beaten up
Also the prison guard says he doesn't think the ml lead poisoned himself but doesn't look into how it could have happened I could go on forever, love it so far tho lots of action suspense drama very enjoyable and the first Disney k drama I actually like hopefully this only gets better and better
Yh I'm on episode 8 and I really can't recommend I came here looking for bad reviews as an excuse to give it up,…
Oh yh your so right they would blur knives guns even cigarettes in k dramas I hadn't even picked up on that Oh that makes sense why they are multi season
Yup for alchemy of souls I couldn't connect to the character either and ultimately just couldn't get over the switch even tho I know know the soul was the same maybe it could have worked if I pretended it was a stand alone show idk I was very disappointed
I get your point I think I'm confusing gory and action scenes because nowadays a lot of action scenes have gory scenes mixed in
I once watched a c drama the action scenes was outstanding and involved a lot of flying/mid air action beautiful to watch
Yh I'm on episode 8 and I really can't recommend I came here looking for bad reviews as an excuse to give it up,…
Yh I agree with you lots of shows that just add violence for a wow factor and I have been desensetized cause sometimes I would cover my eyes but it's very normal these days I'm used to it. The defects would be a no go for you
Yh I could understand why you wouldn't want to watch weak hero class just give it a miss Personally I didn't find walking on thin ice too bad there are a lot of fight scenes watch an episode and see how you like it maybe
Your point about multi season shows is very interesting it's just made me realise when I watched them I actually mainly watched comedy shows where there was really no end to the story because every episode was different and wasn't necessarily building onto a bigger story
I will say I watched blacklist hoping to find out the truth and learn new information and there was always more questions than answers so you just keep watching and watching although I got like 4 seasons in and started to realise it wasn't worth it then there's that stage you get to where you wanna give it up but it keeps pulling you back in before you drop it
I tried watching a few episodes of the art of negotiation couldn't get into I don't mind trying new genres either I was never a big fan of crime shows that had were about solving murders but a lot of those shows had a lot of the action scenes so they grew on me
Yes they are trying to change the landscape I feel like it'll never get to like a show having 10 seasons I just feel like the writers don't know how to do that the only show with more than two seasons I can think of rn is yumis cells and I think taxi driver is getting a season three
I will say I'm pretty excited bloodhounds is getting a second season and I can't wait for it I just hope it'll be good but even if it's not I'll get to see the duo I like actually that is one way weak hero class differed in season two I think only one original cast member was kept in with some cast members appearing but as flashbacks or memories only I think study group is also getting a second season
Omg alchemy of souls please don't even get me started that was my biggest heartbreak I loved part one so much and so excited for part two I gave it a chance but I just couldn't finish it the way the story was going was so upsetting and of course hiring a new actress was all just a no from me it's times like that I wish there was no season 2 the thing is I feel k dramas don't really need a season 2 because the first season is a complete story by itself
I hope you always look on the bright side and get to finish your long list of shows
Yh I'm on episode 8 and I really can't recommend I came here looking for bad reviews as an excuse to give it up,…
Aha Ive watched a shop for killers I liked it personally but understand why you wouldn't since your not big on violence and some dramas this year have been very violent I was gonna suggest you stuff from this year like trigger until I read it's not your genre, walking on thin ice is good but does have violence, I loved study group, did you catch season 2 of weak hero class came out this year
I only saw a few episodes of tempest tbh I liked that I saw but the storyline for me was a bit confusing and very politics heavy so I was a bit lost
It's so interesting you have up on us shows because they are multi season cause sometimes I wish k dramas were multi season Ever since watching k dramas tho I have also given up on them less because of the seasons and more because the content gets more r rated as the time goes on no matter the genre it seems even if the show itself is good so I way prefer k dramas and I find a lot of the stories very original
I can understand why you would stick to c dramas the k drama selection hasn't been the best this year
Light shop I wouldn't bother with honestly it's mainly just like imagery I didn't understand one episode of it and terrible pacing
Maybe you can watch deaths game it's not from 2025 if you haven't seen it I quite enjoyed it
I liked the defects from this year but it definitely wouldn't be your thing it's very gory and it was a super hard watch, so Ive liked a few k dramas this year but there have been more I started and couldn't finish like ms incognito or typhoon family
Yh I'm on episode 8 and I really can't recommend I came here looking for bad reviews as an excuse to give it up,…
Oh the backstory is really cool I had no idea I do enjoy his action scenes but because it's an older drama I feel like the fight scenes I'm used to in today's dramas can't be matched with the action scenes in this one although it's still good
I have tried to watch healer but I couldn't get into that's typical for me tho it's very hard for me to get into k dramas even some of the most popular ones
I don't know why I didn't notice he had a drama from this year I might check it out however Disney k dramas are really not for me I tried moving almost finished it tempest the light shop one of their first ones about a songwriter or something I really didn't like them but I might still give this one a chance
Yh I'm on episode 8 and I really can't recommend I came here looking for bad reviews as an excuse to give it up,…
Ji Chang Wook is exactly how I ended up trying to watch this drama again because someone mentioned he was a versatile actor so I watched him in the sound of magic then decided to watch the k2 after and it just didn't live up to my expectations unfortunately. I read your review underneath seems like I'm not missing much Ive moved on I'm watching misaeng incomplete life now
should i give it a go?? I'm so bored right now. I want something to enjoy. can i enjoy it?
Yh I'm on episode 8 and I really can't recommend I came here looking for bad reviews as an excuse to give it up, the pacing is so slow it's unforgivable the FL barely has any lines, oh Ive tried to watch this many times over the years because the storyline sounds good and never got past 1-2 episodes and this Time I thought I would give it a real chance iv literally been forcing myself to watch Some action k dramas that are most popular you could see if you haven't include My name Bloodhounds
Hm I kinda liked it until the last episode where the character had a history of mental illness and especially when they showed he actually pushed the shop owner and it wasn't magic idk why but for me that killed the magic aspect and I started to question everything before we saw that was supposed to be real magic it's a good series but it's almost more like a piece of art than a show I do think they missed the mark with this its pretty to look at but not much else
Came to the comments to see if I should watch this because I really can't stand k dramas made by Disney I tried a few especially a few years ago right when they started making them and I can't stand them I don't know why they're really not my taste even popular ones like moving going by these comments I think I will give it a miss
Actually I was totally agreeing with you I'm one of the people that didn't see the romance at all and didn't want it to be romantic but I'm just wondering like why even bother adding that in at all or what about the paintings he drew of her they could have just omitted those things if anything I'm simply highlighting at what the writers intentions could be whereas a lot of people are shipping them I'm more saying what are the writers trying to tell us about their relationship and that the idea and execution is sort of half baked but I personally never saw them together more just partners in crime I just kinda feel like if you are going to add certain things in a drama you should be able to back it up but with some of the ideas in this drama they don't follow through they just sprinkle random stories I believe it does ruin the flow of the show a bit and is time better spent on other parts of the story line
Ok agreed but why did they show a montage where he was thinking about all their moments together they usually do that for lovers it's like the writers are subtly suggesting something but never fully executing the idea like with the best friend who is jealous of her but we don't get the full story there either
ultimately I always knew the ending for this was going to be disappointing I knew it but I still watched it cause it was genuinely enjoyable to me and I wanted to see how things played out but I knew it could never have a happy or satisfying ending
However few things caught me off guard like James dad knowing all along he is innocent that broke me a lil bit I was devastated for him
Suah cutting off her mum made no sense to me tbh the ungratefulness she and the dad had towards the mum was baffling she was struggling so much for the family but they only feel like she's a criminal cause she broke the law I really don't get suah cutting her mum off especially after the dad died and she only had one parent left and she went to live with the snake auntie ex bff
Eun su like someone else said compromising the whole operation just as they're about to catch the cop I had a feeling she wanted to be alone with him to kill him but I'm not sure
Can't believe hwang rim had to kill another person to be held accountable finally
Essentially what this k drama is it's a really interesting story without any possible satisfying ending and they rush to wrap everything up so if your just looking for a decent story some mystery some action and not wanting to get too invested this will be perfect for you it's genuinely interesting and the mystery isn't too obvious but I feel like even the writers know the ending can't be satisfying it's definitely not in top 2025 k drama but it's not in the bottom maybe 6.5 In terms of action mystery dramas many better ones were released this year Still the concept was kinda fresh and different
Sua: SEM👁️👄👁️ haha that really made me laugh, what a crazy ride ep 10 was, I feel so bad for sua that the guy came after her and she doesn't even know why then the policeman is right outside I felt so bad
The hUsbAND I'm done with him he was getting on my last nerve trying to flush the drugs that are paying for his treatment and calling the police on his wife who became a drug dealer to save his life bruh give me a break, when the best friend showed up outside to help him I was like typical of course your here I was a bit caught off guard how she got angry looking at the pictures and wondering why she wasn't in them
I wonder what James said to eunsoo that we couldn't hear, and those paintings of her omg, I really thought she was about to drive away jang tae gu really got what was coming for him couldn't be happier he has to be the supervillain of kdrama 2025 destroying everyones lives and finding joy in it, I knew he had bugged one of their phones and was listening to the conversation
Gotta feel bad for the brother that survived and came out of a coma and went to seek revenge can't blame him they tried to kill him and killed his brother, so was it really eunsoo that tried to run him over because she hasn't confessed yet or was it the jang tae gu
Like many people are saying I really don't know where this is going or how it will end I thought the young cop and James and eunsoo might work together to expose the cop for being corrupt but they didn't seems like they might just end up in jail then maybe show us 10 years after they come out or something I'm not too sure
I really enjoyed ep 9 and 10 I'm not ready for it to end 🥲
i just finished episode 7 and i know all korean dramas have the one song that plays all the time several times…
Yup agree like several times in an episode typically whenever they overuse a song in a k drama I find them unwatchable but I think the song here is not too bad definitely over used but I feel there is a balance and the storyline makes up for it I'll just mute or skip the scenes since it doesn't really play when anything important happens
Aha ok cause I kept wondering about the nice guard like what happened to him
This show definitely shows the violence in prisons, the hierarchy amongst prisoners themselves
