Title Love for You
why watch a drama in romance genre if you’re antiromantic?
well as a woman from 1989 I don't find it romantic at all, but sorry for not knowing what the new generation likes and doesn't, my bad. I would never ever ask a man to do things instead of me that I can also do myself, just to be spoiled.

When I started watching cdrama, I too, shared the same view as you. I'm Asian, but growing up, western culture…
yes, I have been also watching cdramas for over 4 years now and have concluded same aspects, a lot of times romance is confused with devotion in Chinese culture and they view romantic a lot things that Europeans would never view as romantic. Most Chinese tropes cannot be found in any western cinematography, they are typical to China and other Asian countries. Thank you for your insights, I really appreciate it.

why watch a drama in romance genre if you’re antiromantic?
Maybe then it is just Europe that doesn't have this or just my generation. I have never seen or heard of anyone in my country to do this if they didn't have a good reason. The only cases I have heard were because the women had bags or because they wore a shirt skirt without shorts underneath, otherwise women usually tie their own laces here, but I am always open to learn about the differences from other countries.

I have been in China for 2 months and I have seen it in China a few times. I always wondered if Chinese like squatting so much and that is how they relax, then what would be the difference to tie their shoes why squatting, but now I understand from your point of few, especially if a woman is wearing short skirts.

antiromantic? just because this doesn't exist at all in western culture? if you cannot answer a genuine question from a foreigner then why be so rude?

ep11 is the perfect example when people withhold their pain and suffering for decades... they blow up and everyone gets hurt... that is why every small problem should be solved before it gets to this... dealing with small issues is way easier than building up something that was once small and easy to handle into a huge unbearable situation... but finally at the climax everyone said it out and now they can resolve all their own problems together... hopefully... I love this drama so much... Xiao Fang is an amazing example that most people should take as a model and learn from her, she and her granny were the only ones who kept their composure in the entire storyline ... they are both strong women... saying what is necessary when it is necessary, they are both wise and have the wits and courage to be themselves... love them so much! they are the true pillars in the storm!

I hope miao jing mum understands that her coming back is genuinely not needed
as a novel writer and psychologist I don't agree, in novels this part is called dark night of the soul when the protagonist needs to face its deepest darkest hidden fears and shadows, for FL it is her mother, this last piece is needed for her full recovery... we also do this in psychology if we cannot invite to the session the respective person then we do it using visualisation... this drama is basically about psychological healing... if certain parts are left out the character arc would be incomplete
