I like how this show calls FL out on her self-righteousness and naivety. I get why she wants to cling to this pure idea of justice. But you can see - particularly after these last two cases - the wheels spinning and her realizing things aren't so black and white.

He then showed up with a betrothal gift (His token)
They then had a wedding night (Him napping on her daybed)

They go together now. lol
I can't wait to see everyone's face when she has to whip out that token to get them out of some mess. lol
