I think people love it because of the chemistry between the leads. Older modern cdramas do not age well tbh. They…
Yeah. I STRUGGLE with older modern c-dramas b/c they always make the FL into adult children. I could never understand why the historical dramas had bad ass female characters (whether good or evil) but all the modern dramas the FL were grown children.
I'm nervous that the drama has reached it's peak, the evil cousin plot has not even properly started yet.
This. I feel like they are going to backend that plot so the last episodes are gonna lose all the fun and just be a bunch of suffering until they finally "win" in the last 15 minutes of the last episode.
I mentioned it in another comment, but I'm not interested in watching our ML lose the entire series to the Evil Cousin.
Like, from the preview, it looks like there will be a manufactured DUI plot...does that derail his launch and causes stock problems...putting the company in more danger.
Like c'mon. That gets old after while - particularly if they do this - loss after loss - 'till the end. No one wants to watch that. Have them go on the offensive already. Let's get over this finacee thing - dui - whatever and have out leads rack up some wins.
There was a promo shoot of the leads, in the staircase, in black clothes very hot scene, arms around shoulder,…
Pacing is good for their relationship (assuming they don't derail it in episode 7) - but the villain stuff isn't moving along as well, which means they might back end it. Not good. We'll see tho. I've loved all 6 episodes thus far. Hoping for the best.

Naw.
We got a serious villain plot boiling and K-Dramas will switch tones for no good reason. Perfect Crown is a good example of this. First 8 episode perfect rom-com with a touch of political intrigue..last 4 episode just a hot mess of character changing behaviour and political mess. Forgot it was supposed to be a rom-com.
I want an *actual* rom-com. Yeah we can deal with the underlying Evil Cousin that's fine. But the overall tone of the show shouldn't shift and I have no interest in these two falling a part for no reason. it would be MUCH more interesting if they went on the offensive to take down the bad guy instead of being driven a part by him.
I'm not convinced they get this right. Episode 7 preview wasn't helping with that.
Side note: If she starts to avoid him b/c chick says they are getting married I'll be pissed. A simple convo can fix that. No need to drag that into something.
Also, he's gonna have to start going on the offensive with the cousin.
I'm gonna be really annoyed if all he does is take L's up until the last episode or so. Episode 7 looks like a bunch of unnecessary angst on all fronts, we'll see how it goes.
Also, my guy is just surrounded by vultures. My God.
So....my current theory is that whatever happened to our FL back in the day the "Minx" did it. Finding out they were on the same set, in the same show, and it was around that time she had a major accident that derailed her career...yeah...the "Minx" was likely involved.
Odds that the true villain and villianess of this show team up at some point?
No I didn't. That's the point. His "heel turn" isn't justified based on what we knew about his character from the beginning.
If they were gonna make him a villain - they needed to better to set that up. There was no indication that he felt truly suffocated by or was jealous of his Uncle for any reason. "Losing" a woman who he willingly let go, to protect his future, is now a good enough reason to burn it all down?
It's poor writing. Same thing Blossom did with the brother.

The plane scene was HILARIOUS!

He made a choice..a smart one...so his flipping out later doesn't align with what we know about him.
Like I said...the THINNEST of rationales which doesn't jibe with how we're introduced to the character.
NONE of that is reason for hsi current unhinged behavior.
He's terribly written.
