It is heavily billed PRIMARILY as a romcom. Romcoms don't have sad endings. lol There can be drama, sure...but the ending is happy.

No. You don't bill it as a romcom and give a sad ending. If it were a drama and had a sad ending that would be one thing. The genre matters here. People signed up for light and fun, not this.

Well, Mundo is gonna keep winning 'till they fix the past. That seems to be how this is going.

I DOUBT seriously you're getting 40-50 minutes of present. 10-20 MAX. And I'm assuming a normal-ish sized episode.

It's actually pretty good...but they couldn't help themselves with the ending episodes. lol

But as a reincarnation for real this time...so not Seori but not NOT Seori. lol

I don't get how the grandfather has been sidelined...that really makes no sense...the Aunts have always been useless tho.

I said last week (when Mundo kept winning) that there was likely to be a separation with these two in this episode b/c one hadn't happened yet and the writer seemed to want to mirror the misery of the past couple with the modern couple.

This is why Mundo kept winning. He won in the past. And the last thing left was for a separation (and possible death of the ML) BEFORE they could (potentially) "win" in the end.

So it seems like a time loop/fate thing, now. If you want a different future fate you have to correct the wrongs of the past? For the record this is not some shit you pull in the penultimate episode...but here we are. lol

What that's just another element. lol. And yes that kinda makes sense.

So we got time loop, reincarnation and soul swapping.

Hell at this point I'm not even sure the ending is gonna be happy.

The going back to Joeson made sense several episodes ago. I actually wrote a whole comment saying that's what I thought was gonna happen. The souls return to their original timelines and we get a Joeson story line and modern story line and there were several ways this could play out. But then they went and did the last two episodes so that seemed off the table...now...WTH????

I watched a c-drama where there was problem after problem - and FINALLY things get sorted in the last episodes AND THEN in the very LAST episode they have her guy go missing b/c he was going blind and he had to have surgery and didn't tell her and in the very VERY last minutes they are reunited and (thank god) he isn't blind for real...surgery worked. lol

And when I say last minutes...I mean last minutes. lol

This show is feeling like that.

I've said several times that this show was messily trying to merge two concepts - soul swapping + reincarnation - and doing a very poor job at it.

And here we are.
