I feel like this turned from a good revenge drama to a mental health show?
I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but not what I was hoping for. I put it on pause to wait for it to play out and I think I will keep it on pause. More palace intrigue, revenge, upheaval. Not so much romance, mental health, personal/growth introspection.
Once again....not saying that's a bad thing...just saying not what I was looking for from this series.
The FL is super annoying and kinda dumb. lol. Like someone offers to help but you want to treat him like shit and be difficult but want to sign up to struggle to prove you did it on your own while simultaneously believing you're not good enough???? Why to c-drama write modern women so poorly. Part of the reason I couldn't finish unforgettable love. FL was too dense.
I'm not loving how they've portrayed the M. It's not working for me. He just comes off as completely selfish and inconsiderate, narcissistic even. I feel like there was a better way to drum up drama and this wasn't it. I don't know what's in the book, but they've made enough changes so I don't think that matters much.
I'm gonna be annoyed if the little bratty emperor keeps his job. SMH.
DK started to go downhill much sooner than Royal Nemesis - so I can see why this is a bigger disappointment. I agree with all you said here. 10 was tolerable and they had a chance to go in the direction where they eventually ended up but decided to give us unnecessary angst and dram and turned the female lead into crying whining mess that needed constant saving.
So much potential wasted. Perfect Crown lost it in the last 4 as well. Ima have to go back to watching K-Dramas after they've aired, so I'll know if they are worth starting. SMH.
Did I miss something or did she not realize she was getting married? She can't be that dense? Maybe the captions were just that bad? I'm so confused right now...

I feel like this is one time where book version of the show would have been better.
