I never rooted for Victor and Trin, the guy looked like a stalker and harassing the teacher. Trin gave no sign…
I don’t think it was abt romance, that’s not even how they got close in the first place but they do represent a lot for each other, you might not like their relationship but it’s clear from both characters that they cared abt the relationship they had, even Victor having a crush on him while he had no interest didn’t stop him from caring and approaching him, I don’t think Trin reduced him to a guy who loved him, he valued him as a person overall
today’s episode broke me and then my TL’s full of Apo enjoying life and I hate this mf sm😭That shit had no business by this dramatic omg
Ps: wonder how they’ll deal with TrinTanwa, like Igenuisly feel no reason for Trin to get back to him, honestly their whole relationship felt like a fun experience that could stop at any disagreement, and while I was hoping for a stronger foundation, I sadly think it lacked which affected their whole dynamic, but we’ll see
victor is vegas in disguise (talking about his appearance yall)
see that’s propaganda we’re not falling for: any KP projection in Shine, those shows are not the same and those characters share nothing in comment in the sence that they behave the way they do for different reasons that simply aren’t comparable I think
sadly for you on top of being a bad actor he has no support from his country
he’s full of Botox and whitewashed I’ll pass the hot line. His acting delivers nothing special he barely tried with the NC and crying scenes. I don’t want to see his serie again what if he starts shit talking abt his next co stars again since working with others is a pity to him?
sadly for you on top of being a bad actor he has no support from his country
based on BL actor? Oh he’s definitely not bad bc this genre can lack standard sometimes and give popularity to the worst performances ever witnessed. Now bc we need to touch grass and fuck with the real world, on an average actor standard? He’s mid. His eyes like irl can’t express any strong emotion, he doesn’t look convincing either while crying and worked more as a comic device, he is way less convincing when it comes to more serious performances (expecially the crying). Not bad tho, put with the right production (KP team) it still looks good, plus playing with other helps make your performance appear better bc everyone is delivering at the same time, but yeah there is room to improvement. But then he’ll never get it and seems happy with fan money so KP will remain the « best » performance he even gave
I feel the opposite though. I feel that the role of Tanwa was made for Mile. I actually think his acting has improved…
I feel like they sucked at establishing their dynamic, like the whole reason why they would fall in love and everything, but now we’re arriving at a part where they seem to acknowledge their feelings, so maybe they’ll behave in a different way from now on, could be very interesting if done right. I’ll be honest they interest me more than the second couple despite everything, that has to do with Trin’s character for me mostly, so I think ep 5 at least will determinate how I’ll truthly see their relationship
I feel the opposite though. I feel that the role of Tanwa was made for Mile. I actually think his acting has improved…
I don’t need to know, we were talking abt the « star quality » stuff and I just think that sadly some people radiates certain feelings, vibes better than others. Don’t know abt Tanwa being the most complex so far but he appears out of the main storyline so far, I’ll need him in the politics, bc I don’t know much abt hippie but I heard that in the US they were still heavily involved in the political issues and raising concerns, those hippie in Thailand looks like a group of privileged people just living out of any problem and it doesn’t help to make Tanwa to connect with the rest of the storylines. Good that Tanwa is going viral or whatever but it doesn’t remove my opinion lol. I’ll need to serve an actual purpose on the hose, from the trailer I thought Trin would be harder to convince in embrassant his sexuality and a different lifestyle, hence why someone like Tanwa could have make him fall hard and get him out of his conform zone. But looks like Trin doesn’t mind changes that much so I struggle to see how Tanwa is making that big difference in his life that made him fall in love at least, but I think for now we’ll have to enjoy the love story (I think they’ll kill the romantic parts more than the second couple, tbh they are good but nothing much for me although I love their storyline) band I want to see how much Tanwa will add to the plot. MAybe I’ll get over him being an annoying brat at times
I feel the opposite though. I feel that the role of Tanwa was made for Mile. I actually think his acting has improved…
No? I just think something abt his acting and the character he has to portray is not adding up, that’s not me being a hater that’s my feeling. I want to believe and think that the screenwriters know why they chose those characters so we’ll get surprise but so far Tanwa is the most out of place character, and I feel like Mile doesn’t have any proper aura to keep people attracted to him. On the right note I really like the last scene at the beach, the character actually radiated something, maybe he’ll be like that for the next part? There are just things abt his attitude that are unlikable for him as a character (Tanwa), and I think he doesn’t have that charm that makes people usually root for such characters despite them being annoying or whatever
I feel the opposite though. I feel that the role of Tanwa was made for Mile. I actually think his acting has improved…
Honestly, I think the biggest issue with Tanwa’s character is Mile himself 😭. It sucks, because right now Tanwa feels like he’s carried about 70% by his looks and natural aura alone. I’m sure the story will eventually dig deeper into Trin and Tanwa’s relationship, but so far I don’t see convincing reasons why Trin would fall for him. Tanwa often comes across as more annoying than anything—crossing people’s boundaries and acting like Trin is into him just because he’s “fun.”
Trin seems like a very open-minded person, so I doubt Tanwa’s “free spirit, hippie” vibe would be the main reason he’s drawn to him. At this point in the show, the attraction should really come from physical chemistry and Tanwa embodying a sense of freedom. But for that to work, you need someone who can really shine through the screen. For example, if Tanwa were played by Apo (who naturally radiates charisma through his expressions and overall aura) it would make a lot more sense. With Mile, though, I just don’t feel that spark. And yet we’re supposed to believe Trin is attracted to both Tanwa and his world?
No shade but there is one thing second couple worshippers aren’t ready to admit imo and it’s all the journaling/talking through books and article aspect? As a non native it’s genuinely annoying to read all the time bc you have to read, interpret the metaphores and subtle texts, and well it feels like we couldn’t be watching other characters instead of them, so far I rewatched without any skip but I just know that next time I start an ep that’s the first thing Im passing. This story is a male love but the only character who appears childish/boy is Tanwa, also he appears to me as a spoilt brat idk why (actually I exactly do but let me not spoil it here) Im still rooting for the TrinTanwa, but I really hope Trin will politize Tanwa in any way, his father is linked with the startup who wants to make the project Trin and the students are so critical about but so far Im supposed to buy that next to Tanwa, all Trin focus on is the romance and sexuality aspect? I mean, I can get that Tanwa is the only one with who he feels relaxed and want to keep a bit of peace but out of everyone he could be a good start, knowing that Trin wants to change things from the inside this is exactly the type of connections he could use, but the nature of TrinTAnwa relationship isn’t like LertRan so the conflict won’t be abt this politic aspect I think. Other than that, this is not me being shipping the characters at all but Trin and Victor are the most interesting part of the storyline for me, and I love Trin interactions with the student, I connected so effortlessly with them all and Im so attached to all of them, kinda scared for what has yet to come bc I know this show will shock me in the worst way possible
I fully agree the show is dragginggggg it and giving us nothing like omg we need backstory or something to make…
I NEED to start Harmony secret omg I heard so many good things abt it, and recently I learnt many things abt the actress Sonya and her and her pairing seem to be so nice and dedicated actors (no shade to others), Im definitely watching them next and hope the show remains good til the end

I think Shine will need to find its demographic, I know that a lot of bl/drama enjoyers love to watch a serie once it’s over so other type of audience might come to Shine once it’s done. So far I feel like those who don’t feel the plot already left, but it didn’t stop nor reduced the among of people who are actually tuned, curious and watching the show bc they value the themes and quality. I don’t think they need to make a BL hit like previously. As they were praising, people organically loved the songs and went to listen to them for example. The opinions on the serie are clear, and highlight exactly what they wanted to show so I believe they’re doing great so far.
I fully agree the show is dragginggggg it and giving us nothing like omg we need backstory or something to make…
You remind me that another Thai serie Im watching rn (Shine) only has 8 eps while the setting and political and queer issues they are adressing alongside with the characters would deserve more eps, but yeah Only You probably doesn’t require 14 eps and could’ve been wrapped with 8 eps if they had good pacing. Another thing I didn’t discuss was the outfits, expecially for Tawan, her outfit are so all over the place that is NOT something a bodyguard would wear😭But the most disappointing part is surely the romance/yearning, I don’t feel anything in that department, this probably has to do with the plot (I prefer slow burns and well they were already in love by ep 2 so I won’t have it) but it’s really not giving
Okay with my unhealthy obsession of rewatching the last episode again. I can't stop admiring the series more.…
https://x.com/SaymerB/status/1954925710029766994 here is a viral tweet from Thai side of Twitter where most people and qrts are praising Shine and highlights some scenesThe last 2 weeks have been abt Apo beauty being the talk of the town and Krailert and Naran scenes, I see a lot of talk from Thai ppl tbh. I feel like due to its topic, Shine best audience won’t necessary be a BL fandom, to be the talk of the town with them you need to rely on hit moments (ex KinnPorsche still goes viral on twitter 3 years later bc it just takes someone to put one scene (usually the other gun one lol) on twitter and they already hit 1M views with everyone asking for the show or remmebering it),and while there is this discussion with Trin and Viktor in the end of the episode that seems well liked for the actors performance, Shine relies on politics, small hints, so ppl mostly talk abt it from an analytic pov. We’ll see with the next eps tho but they are pretty stable
ok so it’s one of those serie that I technically don’t enjoy yet keep watching and well I’m actually kinda invested. Production wise it’s still bad, I feel like Thailand spoilt me with many great stories, production and pacing, so this one isn’t for me. I can’t help but jugeote every thing I find unappealing in this show, yet I’m still here so I might shut up in the future😭 My major issue is LingLing, she’s so pretty but her acting omg it is so boring and no it has nothing to do with being stiff, although with the lack of backstory so far Tawan isn’t I stère sting at all. But, I’m surprisingly enjoying Orm, sure it helps that her character is more expressive and she can do decent acting with it, but I love her facial expression and voice tone, it’s so cute. Whatever, I don’t find their love story appealing at all, no butterfly felt, nothing attract me so I’m here for the plot, which kinda works so far despite issues
I'm so happy a professional actor is finally participating in a BL project, let alone a BOC one with Bible, oh…
Apo was right there lmao do you know that his acting teacher was THE Noi? That he played alongside big Thai stars like Mario Maurer and DAVIKA? In top of that he was on of the first lakorn actor (with a pretty established career aka 8 lakorns. étire it’s first BL) to go BL by himself, not even for fame, trend of bc the genre was evolving but bc he wanted to challenge his career with different type of production, put some respect on BOC OG
