she slapped him because she realizes that they are divorced so the situation is not approriate. I think if she really felt in danger, her attitude would have been more alarmed and panicked. May be at this stage it is a treat them mean, keep them keen loving game between them as we can see that she is still attracted by him. We also can see the difference with her attitude when Han Liao tried to se** assault her where she was very agressive.

From what we see, in ep 20, she was also responding to his first kiss even if she pushed him as she realizes that she has things to clarify with him. Stop qualifing everything as se** assault and distorting the story. If she felt assaulted she would certainly not kiss him the second time. Or is it se** as well?

Im just wondering why she keeps running after him while he seems so bad to her? She was not really forced to be…
Anyway, she is the one accepting the proposals. She could have ended her contract working normally as she was engaged (like normal people) and not choosing to take profit of his situation for Xue Ting and her mother (like normal people). If she didn’t know him, she would have to do without him. So I don’t think she is a victim, she is the one who wants to take advantage of the situation and ready to accept to do things even if not morally acceptable. Additionnally, she knows that he has feelings for her so she uses that and him to get what she wants. She was never forced to prostitute herself, she could have say no (and he wouldn’t force her, she was the one who came to him) but each time she accepted to play that role despite the consequences.

yeah, at this stage of the drama, it’s cringe and boring. Ping Jun character is rubbish, I don’t know if it…
I think you are turning the story the way you want to see it. He doesn’t detain neither her fiancé nor her mother. Please watch again the episodes. What happened is that the guy committed treason in the army. Nobody forced him to do it, he made it for fame. Then he was convicted as guilty and the punishment is not decided by him but by the army. Then she came to him for help to save him despite this serious crime. He is an officer. Would normal people ask high officers to go against the law to save a traitor? No but she did, nobody forced her and his price was to be her s** worker (if you want to call it like this), again, she accepted. Again nobody forced her, but she decided to sell herself to save the traitor. Now he has feelings for her so he never treated her as a s** worker but in the fact that’s what she accepted to be (and that’s he shows her when he simulated to force her). Instead he wanted to build a romance/love relationship with her. She is not a poor victim bullied, she had shown several times that she is very fierce. And as for her mother was never under his control but on the contrary he helped her when she was in the hospital and healed her (bear in mind the context of difficultues to access good doctors/care at this time, and the cost of it) . That’s very weird to distort the story like this. Even if his behaviour is controversial he was never evil to her (and even if that was the case, she didn’t run away ) There is no point to transpose the event in our time as all what is happening there is to be considered with the context (war/ power of the army etc...) and the era.

I would simply not be in that situation as she is the one who accepted to do it. She decided to be with him (it is her decision) but then play the victim. Her friend did treason, he also had to accept the consequences, but afterall she decided to take that deal, nobody forced her. If she had a brain, she should have thought about the consequences of accepting to be his GF (he could also have treated her as a simple courtesan, selling her body in exchange of the service he gave her but he did not)

Let do a recap of CX’s behavior: 1. Forced her to be her fake GF, directing Zi yi’s jealousy towards her2.…
Im just wondering why she keeps running after him while he seems so bad to her? She was not really forced to be a GF as she accepted to do it (she could also have refused). She knew that he has feelings for her but she kept going to him.She was the one who went to him and accepted to be his girl to liberate the asshole Xue Ting (who does that? she is the one who doesn’t respect herself). When he pushed her away, she kept coming back (while she knows he has feelings for her) and insinuating she is attached to him but rejecting him at the same time. Sorry but the girl has to shoulder her own choices and acts because it is too simple to just point out a bad consequence generated by provocation. We can also see that he was nice to her several times while she only profit from him

yeah, at this stage of the drama, it’s cringe and boring. Ping Jun character is rubbish, I don’t know if it is the acting of the girl who is exagerating the frightened victim which is doing that but it’s a pain. The guy took great care of her for 2 years, and she is still acting as a terrfied pet. I don’t buy it at all.

Cheng Lei is very good but the FL toxicity in this story drives crazy. And to be honest, the actress expressions…
despite this tentative forced kiss and the fact she says she doesn’t wan’t to be with him, she keeps coming back to him, like provocation, while she already knows his feelings for her. He asked her to stay away for him and she keeps sticking to him with false excuses ("I wan’t to thank you..." 100 times, I need you for this...) , and then playing prude so yes this is pure toxicity. If you feel that a man is bad for you, just stay away from him.
