An Easy Feel Good Experience
There's really only one criticism I have of this series and it's that the plot felt a little contrived, some of the drama little forced, and just overall kind of low effort. There's one or two super goofy twists I appreciated but saw coming.
But y'know? It honestly doesn't matter that much because as far as I'm concerned this show is all about the characters and with the exceptions of a couple of slimy antagonists you're supposed to hate, I found each and every character uniquely loveable and memorable. The chemistry with the two leads is excellent and the relationship dynamic had me frequently squealing with giddy joy. Even side characters I expected to dislike, that could easily have been aggrivating in another series as those same archetypes, were loveable. So even though it never felt like much was going on to draw me into the unfolding plot and drama, I was always keen to see how the characters would act and react and interact - especially the playful interactions between the leads. Those two truly hit it out of the park.
