Bizarre...Love to see a remake with age appropriate cast

I have been saving this C Drama in my watchlist for awhile now as I have seen the high ratings and finally have the time to check it out. I don't have a problem with long 70+ episodes dramas and also love some older productions, if it's a good drama, I will watch it no matter how long it is. So.. The drama started with an interesting storyline, sad but interesting, and I was especially excited and looking forward to the young ML/FL story development. And what followed was sooo . Bizarre that I am still wondering what happened. Namely, you see the young men and young/kids, ladies sitting in a school and reciting some poems and in the next take..ready for this... ? In the same school there are these older, middle aged men in their 40s and ladies in their 30' s sitting in the seats, it's like the story travelled 30 years into the future? How do you go from the kids/students aged between 8 - 14 to age 40 or so and still in school at that age? Then they keep saying " young master this and young master that". Like they are trying to hypnotize the audience to believing that these guys are in their youth/20's... and at a marieagble age which according to history, in ancient China, girls start at 15-16 up to mid twenties and men in their 20' ( definitely not in their 40's). So how did we jump the huge age gap in time? Also, bizarre age discrepancies like 5th Miss aged to 30 something and yet, her mother's concubines' age appearance stayed the same. Or the ML father appears to be almost the same age as his son? What are the casting agents and directors were thinking? Did they not read the original story/ book? The actors are great and very professional but maybe not for a role that calls for 20 some years old men and very young women. Sorry. I just simply can't watch 70+episodes forcing my brain to imagine the cast being the age that they are supposed to be and not even close to being in this drama . A+ for effort and I would really like to watch this story if it was ever remade with the age appropriate cast. I am sure the original story writer would agree. I have also noticed that in some C dramas the actors' ages are reversed, namely teenagers are playing roles that calls for a more mature cast and that makes the drama look like a highschool play, or as in this case, middle aged man/women are playing 20 somethings role. What is that about?
