No, dear. The satisfying ending was Jin Zhao won Chen family's heart and support, expanding her business, and used some profit to build the empire. On the other side, Yan Yun defeated the corrupt officials and helping the young emperor to rule wisely and bring peace over the empire. It will be a 10/10 drama.

The worst part was the ending. The writers made him a hero. 🤢🤒 And Yan Yun? Despite all his hard work and sacrifice, they made him nothing but winning the girl.

It's a story about Li Zhen recreates and inherits her Li family's ink making and find her own way of ink. Therefore the English title is "The Heir" (singular, not plural). Just because the last screen doesn't say anything about Luo Wen Qian doesn't mean he's dead or never return.

Luo Wen Qian is not a crucial character anyway. The writers ruin his arc and his revenge plan seems like a joke.

Agree, and I saw it as an inconsistency. Luo Wen Qian did nothing, but he was a fugitive and had to change his name and erase his background to survive. However, when they knew his real identity, he had to pay for his father's crime. He had no idea what the crime was and had never been involved. Heck, even Luo Meng Zhen (Wen Qian's aunt) changed her identity to survive. She had never been involved with Luo family's business.

And, yeah, it was absurd to make Tian Ben Sheng solely responsible for that capital crime and his family dodge from the penalty.

I love smart villain, I really do. However, to make him smarter by lowering the ML's intelligent was bad writings.
