I second this. Weaken a character to highlight another was the reason I dropped many novel adaptation C-dramas, including one had just finished airing. I miss Duan Xu in episode 8 and his powerful the Deliverance sword.

Agree. Li Ce got too much screen time for adding nothing to the plot. I could imagine that Kingdom's fate would be if he were the emperor. The best he could do was add more girls to his harem. 🤢🥴

Yep. His stupidity forced Zhuge Yue to act alone and get hurt, so Xing Er could be safely escape. Li Ce had the audacity to mock him in his puppet show, but without his help, the empress might have caught him in that bureau building. 🙄

No. The drama gives some flashback from the past to help us understand the story.

I love the novel plot. He Si Mu is so strict, she won't kill a human. I don't understand why they change it in the drama.

Duan Xu was not dead or dying. She could have took him and left, because Duan Xu should be the one killing that villain.

The last scene in episode 9 gave me goosebumps, but no wonder the empress wanted him dead. That useless Crown Prince was nothing but trouble in episode 13. They were in danger but he could not shut his mouth nor control his annoying jealousy and almost ruined their mission.

I'm glad I can use that 3x playback speed for his scenes from now on.

Well, from the previews alone, Yan Ke imprisoned He Si Mu in episode 33. I don't think I'll stay if they drag it through the last episode because he still had her in episode 34.

I don't know how Yan Ke get the idea that if he imprison He Si Mu for five years, he'll win her heart. He failed in his first try for 300 years, good grief. 🙄😂🤣

I know, right? I hate to say this, but I barely finish that prequel's first episode. I want to finish that drama before Rebirth's aired. Meanwhile, I enjoy this sequel since its premiere day.

I dropped many dramas, but I didn't constantly post bad words in their pages. Since I know they may be not my cup of tea, but other viewers enjoy them immensely.

She fits the role. Huangyang Tian Tian portrays Chu Qiao amazingly. Her acting is way better than any actors at her age. Moreover, Chu Qiao is a teenager in the novel. Of course, she's a little kid.

Moral? There's no moral in killing, betrayal, stealing, and so much more that we watch in dramas, but we don't cry over it and enjoy the drama.

This drama gets a distribution license, which means no immoral scenes for underage actors. Huangyang Tian Tian is not the only one under 18. No one force you to watch this. Please watch the drama you'll enjoy.
