I beg to differ, dear friend. I never once hate Xue Man. And honestly, I despise the arrogant and manipulative Bei Ming in the first 2-episode. So, I won't blame the script.

This drama have a better script for FL than others, IMO. It gives us a calculating FL, not a childish one.

Kong Yun is not a bad man. His method might be evil, but he just want to close Yesha's case. His father and his lives are at stake right now.

I know, right? Even though the drama skipped the three years of torture, the pain and frustration was shown all over her face. She became a bitter woman.

They complain about her attacks him, but forget he can dodge or avoid it. They complain about poisoning and, again, forget he doesn't mind and drinks the medicine himself.

That's why Bei Ming forgives Xue Man and Xiao Bai Long about the poison incident, because he allows it to happen.

I guess he's smiling because Xue Man confidently said she catches the villain, so she can catch him again. 😁

And the poison, Xue Man just want to make him weak, not dead. It was Xiao Bai Long's mistake. Xue Man felt guilty, though.
