Hong Ye cries a river in the Yu Li Spring because he realizes his mistake. He starts the endless fighting and killing between human and demon just for that spring. That's why he ends it by seal the spring with his body.

It's not about revenge, it's about his desire to be powerful to fight demon. Xiao Yao actually gives the best solution: to bring peace between two races.

About Xiao Yao returns to that specific time, I guess she tries to change the past to make a better future. She says she learns a specific technique and has mastered it.

Hong Ye (ML) makes a great mistake and he pays for it. Xiao Yao (FL) returns to a specific day to change the past to make a better future.

Not a kind of ending you may want to see (a happy ending), but it's a good ending.

Since day 1, his goal is to kill all the demons. He hasn't changed it, not even a second. Yes, witnessing a tragedy touches his heart, but that's all. That's why I suspect him. Nothing can talk to him about his obsession.

And magically, only his sister can change his mind in the end, but after he kills too much demons. It starts and ends with Tan Er. Though I don't get how can a human has more than one soul.

Another fact that hard to swallow is Bing Zhu. I understand, but ...

If you watch this drama with an open mind, it's a great script. Tan Song Yun and Hou Ming Hao did a great job to accept it.

He's not a demon, that's why he has no true form like the other demons. He only gains immortality. Xiao Yao the Azure Dragon gives some (or all?) of her power to him, that's why he's so powerful now.

Despite the disappointment with the ending, this drama has a well-written script. The writers are smart for taking the risk to create this wonderful story. Hong Ye and Xiao Yao's characters are the best in my opinion. They are selfless.

Though I hate Xiao Yao has to return to 10.000 years ago, this journey holds the answer for ending the huge problem in their world: endless fighting and killing between human and demon for Yu Li Spring.

The surprise that hard to swallow is Hong Ye starts all of that tragedies. Now I can cry-like-a-baby with him in that spring scene. He realizes a huge mistake he makes. If he didn't steal those dragon essence pearls and manipulate the great demons, Yu Li Spring would never exist.

Man, this is what I call a great script. Glad I give this drama a try.
