OMG same !! I also had to drop it eventually. Not because of the story or the male lead but Esther's 'cute' acting just became intolerable after every episode for me.

He looked younger, or rather should I say acted so immature. I get it that he is an idol and she is a prosecutor. Maturity doesn't come from age, it comes from mind and in that sense he seemed younger. That's my opinion.
Lu Yu Xiao is an amazing actress. I absolutely enjoy her acting. She plays all genres perfectly. I really wish she had acted in Love and Speed. Would love to see her again Xu kai, Chen Ling, Ding yoxi and Liu Yuning.
Exactly same sentiment. Although I am still planning to keep watching it just in the hope that it will pick up. The dialogue delivery of the FL annoys me for some reason....like three words and a pause then rest of the sentence....every.single.time. I am also not feeling the chemistry. The 30 lashes scene made no sense except to get some forced pity. The only exciting scenes so far have been when ML changes and has super powers. Also what kind of a general does close battle with 20-30 Soldiers/bandits with just an arrow !?!

I disagree with the statement made by the producers, mostly because there are plenty of scenes where the FL is actually interested in making out, she all but says this in many episodes early on and on various occasions too. Also by naming the drama 'Passionately in love', they raised some expectations, they should have named it 'purely in the name of love of something'... hehehe
