I finally finished it. What a horrible ending. The disgusting villain was untouchable until the last seconds, which gave me a lot of agony. Some really stupid people survived, like those weak Qiu Shui’s dumb friends, and powerful good characters died ridiculously??? I defended this series as much as I could because of CY, but for real it’s not a good show. Not the cast fault; the story is simply so weak, it feels like an endless introduction that leads nowhere. Not even Cheng Yi could save that.
Dropped it a time ago after the first few episodes because it started with a story that I couldn't understand anything. But recently I started to watch Dashing Youth and loved it right away. It made me want to go back to watching TBOY because the whole thing started to make sense to me. It was the best decision I made, because the series is absolutely incredible. It became much easier to understand the story after watching Dashing Youth.
I loved all the characters. Some people criticize Li Hong Yi saying that he performed Xiao Se without much emotion, but that was exactly the character's characteristic. I found his acting impeccable and elegant, as always. I love Li Hong Yi; he has a charming, mysterious, and intelligent aura, which perfectly suits a prince.
Unfortunately, Wu Xin had very little screen time, being one of the main characters while the annoying Lei Wu Jie appeared every second. I confess I skipped most of his scenes because he simply didn't interest me.
I liked almost all the supporting characters, but the ones I got obsessed was Prince Bai, Su Muyu (this character is perfect in Dashing Youth and here too) and the cute little sword deity Wushuang.
How could it not be? That whole thing about being reincarnated into a new life and him being weaker in this new life, even the scenes of him kneeling in the snow are the same, and her taking a whip to beat him. Please.
For those who doesn't know why other fandoms are so envy of Cheng Yi's unique talent, just watch episode 27, the best so far. It reminded me a legendary scene of Immortal Samsara ❤️ Haters, deal with it because there will be more soon with Fox Spirit matchmaker Sword and Play ⚔️🗡️
Episodes 7 & 8 : The plot is getting more interesting, yet down to 8.2 from 8.3 yesterday. Mmm... 🤔
Needy people are giving it low rate because theres no romance… Others simply envy CY and are trying to sabotage the rating because their idols don't even come close to CY's acting level and will never get a role like that. The undeniable truth is that the series and the performances are outstanding. Everyone knows that the ratings here at MDL are not reliable because the people who evaluate are mostly dumb teenagers. In China, the series is being a huge success.
I hope not. Why are you guys so obsessed about romance? The story is absolutely amazing so far and needy people are complaining and giving low rate because there’s no romance. Give yourselves a break.
