What is this overrated trash i just watched?
Excuse me for the title but it just expresses my disappointment with this drama.Twitter people were buzzing about the new BL in town so I had to check it out.
I had expected that the production quality will be bad so I am not disappointed by that. This is reminiscent of the worst kind of BLs from Thailand years ago when the quality and content used to unwatchably bad and traumatic. Thailand's dramas have developed so much since then and chinese bromances, at least from what I remember, had some beautiful plots.
One of the lead actors is terribly bad with his comic timing and the other one is too stiff to be called good.
Is it watchable? Yes! You can finish it if you don't care much about the painfully cringy plot or you have it in you to give the horrific toxicity a pass and still see the relationship as love but honestly, its just far worse than most BLs people have openly trashed upon. So, I am confused about why it is overrated. I see some people shipping actors (not characters, but actors and talking about off screen chemistry). Something about the direction, the shipping culture and the style screams fetishization to me. So, if you get uncomfortable by that,this is not for you.
I felt the need to write that other that the acting that I didn't like, I mostly consider the writer as well as the director to be responsible for ruining this drama beyond redemption. This wasn't as simple as showing a bad character but this was about showing an abuser and then trying to turn him into a prince...bad,repeated exposure to abusive and criminal behavior in the guise of romance is a good example of the writer as well as director requiring some therapy. When you write such characters, you don't color them bright. They are supposed to be seen as abusers and not romantics
Let's say that I will prefer watching my favorite "your name engraved herein" hundred times than watching one more episode of this cringefest. It might actually work out for the very younh audience but I guess 🤷 not because its 18+ ?

Probably the only drama I regret finishing
There is too much happening in this drama all at once.I don't feel the chemistry and I kinda agree with so many reviews here about the actors, especially the villains acting well.
What pulled the drama down for me were surprising the acting of the Male lead and the Female lead. Its surprising because I watched it only for these two.
The script is not up to the mark. Where do I even start? The chemistry of leads is soo lacklusture. Maybe them getting divorced and moving separate ways might have been the best for them.
I got bored half way through but watched it anyway. I regret it.

The friendship is the best part of the drama
I get that this is a romantic comedy but the most beautiful part of the drama is the friendship between Nan Heng and his peers.The female lead is written beautifully. I can understand that many people don't like her but she is supposed to be a flawed character who is about self preservation and preservation of her family. She has fear of losing which generally doesn't allow her to freely love because love is for the brave.
However, you see a lot of growth in her by episode 30.
As for LYN, I liked his performance here more than Prisoner of beauty if we consider acting. His eyes have been more expressive here and it has helped me root for his character.
I have to admire the second lead/grey character here for being able to successfully make me hate him. I think he could have been a little bit subtle in his hateful gaze but its okay because the script is about three way stabbing 💀 and his acting is in line with that kind of script.
The female lead is a natural at comedy and she didn't seem like she was trying too hard with slapstick humor.
Overall, i liked it better than similar themed dramas like Love game in eastern fantasy.

My favorite old school romance.
This is cindrella story.The anime is actually the story of an underdog, the underdog being cindrella of course but they have taken only one small portion of the anime for this movie and its beautifully edited.
I absolutely loved it. These two had amazing chemistry. Everything is soo subtle and yet very beautiful. It just has the charm of pure love and romance.
Both characters are introverts and they express their love through sincerity. The supporting cast is also pretty amazing. This might just be one of the best casting for live action.
I won't spoil it for you. Just go watch it. It definitely gives you butterflies.

The most unique chemistry in enemies to lovers genre
I am here again because it is one of those rare dramas that have become my comfort drama. I don't generally rewatch dramas but this one is just so unique in chemistry.The Female lead is GLORIOUS. She is sweet, understanding, empathetic and unconditionally supportive. But, she is also self respecting and righteous.
The male lead's dilemma and growth is what really got me hooked. He was fighting his emotions until he wasn't and that journey gave me butterflies in the stomach.
They make a solid couple in a plot that had a good understanding of what love truly means and how it wins all.
My only complaint is that they have added filler episodes. They could have reduced the number of episodes to make it more thrilling for the audience to see

This is one of those rare BLs that have been written masterfully
This movie talks about homosexuality in a deeply religious society and challenges religious norms.The characters are written with great care and I enjoyed watching it despite the struggles and heartbreaks that the characters went through.
Their dilemmas, frustration and self loathing has been amazingly expressed by the actors. Both actors as well as director 👏 deserve the appreciation they have gotten from the audience.

The legendary Goblin and his bromance
This drama is genuinely soo good even after years1) The child actress in the first episode is soo excellent. She's an amazing actress.
2) The production quality of Goblin is excellent but the first few episodes also make it clear that the direction has also been masterfully done.
3) Story starts unfolding slowly and tbh, I am not into the romance at all here. Most people aren't. This drama is all about supernatural quirks of these unserious characters in a serious storyline
4) The villain did look like a leech that will stick to you until he destroys you so kudos to him
5) The second couple is adorable.
6) Music, ah yes! The music is excellent in this drama. It has the power to take you back in time
7) All three characters had excellent chemistry with each other and everyone had a great comic timing. The humor is the fun part of the drama
8) The romance that develops much later in the drama after the leap is quite beautiful as well. You see the FL as the woman who knows what she wants and you are able to see the depth of her feelings as well
Overall, this drama is very special and the blueprint to a lot of fantasy dramas that came after it.

Its cute and has good chemistry but the length is too long for me
I liked watching itLoved the FL and her cuteness definitely suited this script. She was a good casting. Her comic timing is decent and I have laughed way too much at the medicine scene when she struggled to live.
The male lead actor is one of my favs and he did a good job of making the enemies to lover interesting. If you enjoy slapstick comedy, this drama might just be for you.
They have also done a very good job at properly gamifying the entire drama. Let's say that they put more effort and it has excellent production quality.
I loved the costumes as well. The costumes of FL where wallpaper worthy and really helped in imagining her as a funny character.
Overall, its a light and cute drama
