Yes the double standard is very clear i expected the the character hate for Wang Shuo as he is pretty crazy aswell. I do wonder if they will put in show how many times Wei Suo Wei will cheat on Chi Cheng I think that will lower the amount of hate hes getting XD

I have to say as a novel reader so far 9/10 the cast amazing, script amazing with dashes of cringey romance and background and set scenery is very beautiful picked great spots to shoot . So hilarious seeing people defend characters back when the book first reached popularity, I remember all readers hated each character but the most was Chi Cheng because he was the most toxic one but no one really defended any characters as it was seen to be a toxic love story with bdsm added for entertainment. Fast forward now there's character stan wars XD i think this is the 1st novel adaption I've watched that was better than novel so happy they took out a lot of things that was distasteful. I hope everyone can push through and enjoy the show !! ;)
