Person Cheng Yi
Hello Everyone, I have not watched a single drama of his but I am interested after seeing some clips of his in…
If you’re into romance dramas, I highly recommend Love and Redemption and Immortal Samsara for historical settings, and South Wind Knows My Mood if you prefer something modern.

If you’re okay with little to no romance, I’d suggest Mysterious Lotus Casebook, The Vendetta of An, Deep Lurk, Journey of Legend, Sword and Beloved, Stand By Me, and Draw the Line.

I arranged these based on my personal favorites.

Mysterious Lotus Casebook was actually the first drama of his that I watched, and I’ve loved his acting ever since lol. You’ll definitely enjoy the bromance in MLC too!

OMG this drama is so addicting 😭 I was honestly hesitant to start it because I thought the genre wasn’t really my thing, but since it’s Cheng Yi, I gave it a try. Now I’m already on episode 15 and completely hooked… I can’t even focus on my tasks right now 😩

Not only that, we often need to rewind a few times to catch what being said or what just happened.
I agree on rewinding part 😹

What the heck 😭 I’m actually crying, my heart hurts so bad over Huai An and Bai Wan’s separation.
I’m glad they made them brother and sister and not lovers, this scene would’ve been way more painful if they were. 😭

When I first saw Zhao Lu, she looked kind of familiar to me, so I looked her up, and sure enough, she’s the FL from Maiden Holmes 😅

His reaction when Huai An thanks him is just too precious 😹

My brain is kinda fried at this moment so can someone kindly please explain what this drama is about and what…
I just started it too, I’m currently on episode 4. I’d say it’s a pretty dark revenge drama. If you’re not usually into this genre but still want to give it a try, you might want to prepare your heart 🥹. No light episode so far.

Huai An "killed" Zhou Mo to save him. Zhou Mo isn't actually dead, his death was faked by Huai An. You…
Lol, I guess this is our lesson to pay more attention next time 😹

I was confused too. The dethroned emperor didn't seem like a bad person. But he killed the guy. I think it's bad…
I respect your opinion on this. My confusion honestly came from my own side, I didn’t pay close attention to all the details 😹

Some of the actors are new to me as well, which is why I sometimes struggle to remember who’s who 😹 But overall, I think the actors are doing well, and the story looks really good so far.

Thank you for this! I really love how you pay attention to details. I did see that scene in episode 2, but I honestly didn’t realize the other guy was Zhou Mo 🤦‍♀️

Okay, I’m already on episode 4, but I still can’t understand why Huai An killed Zhou Mo (the first blood in episode 1). Was it because Zhou Mo tried to poison his tea, or simply because he is/was part of the Huben Army?

I felt really bad about his death because it seemed like he genuinely cared for Huai An… or maybe I’m missing something important. Please help me understand 😭
