It fits in perfectly to me tho. Like we know there was the an he change in leadership which was talking about in blood of youth. Blood river is basically that. Everything that happened before in dashing youth is coinciding with blood river. The only hiccup is zhuo qing never appears in blood of youth even though in the books and the anime he is a big bad guy. But blood river kinda addresses it tho it would be much better if they actually showed they killed zhuo qing off in blood river because blood of youth he doesnt show up. I wish su muyu never killed su chang he tho. They clearly love each other so much :(

I think the final season in blood river is after su mu yu kills su chang he in blood of youth because they said 12 years later. Sad i loved chang he so much

Hmmm i guess in terms of storyline overall blood of youth is better. But i do find if you consider the overall fight scenes cinematics choreography and the storyline blood river is better. I havent been bored with a single Blood River fight scene. The fight scene at lei jia bao vs tangmen and anhe in blood of youth was super shitty. The fight scene between li han yi zhao yu zhen vs anhe and tangmen was also meant to be an epic fight and they butchered it. If you watched the anime it was supposed to be amazing. There was also meant to be an epic fight scene with the old eunuch but that was cut out too

Gong Jun always acts better in BL /bromance type roles. Way more chemistry. I think he is gay actually. This is his 3rd role of this type. And also to the ppl who say his acting is shit here, if you read the novel or watched the donghua, he is EXACTLY like Su Mu Yu. Cold, Aloof, Clueless with little emotive expression. So he is actually doing a fantastic job
