Uuuu, this is a disappointing review, as while checking some clips here and there, it looks very intriguing.

Micro Drama mixing "Nirvana in Fire" and "Empresses in the Palace" deserves a shot :).

I'm horrible with face recognition, but isn't she playing as the FL here?

Just finished watching "After Rebirth, I Became Bestie with the Princess" - not exactly perfect drama, but definitely above-average, and she was great as the FL there.
And obviously, she is super easy on the eyes...

This is a dubbed version and for some reason, it's almost 15 minutes longer.

This could be really good without a childish ML, what a waste of screentime he was.
I really liked the FL speech at the end inside the court when discussing the Ancestors Rules.

Lol, you just listed why I found The Double unwatchable (found also ML horrible there) and consider the majority of recent Dramas a total trash (with exceptions of "Blossom" and "Flourished Peony" S1)

I guess, I'm using Micro/Vertical Dramas for my over-the-top trashy stuff :)

For me the weaknesses of the Ming Lan are inconsistencies in the ML character and the weakening of the FL character later on.
But it's still a TOP3/TOP5 Show I'ever watched and I don't see anything topping it soon.

Does anyone recognize it? I didn't find it through listings and links, and in the comments section on YT somebody mentioned Wei Fan Shu as a leading actress, although she looks very similar to Zhang Ruo Chen in my eyes (but I have poor eyesight).

I pretty much stopped watching Big Production Dramas anymore, but how are the FL's skills/capability level in this one?

Is she typically useless, saved every two episodes by the ML under a "female assassin" tag or similar ones?

Reelxia has it as "My Country Wife, the Mafia Boss" which is pretty accurate.

Typical "hidden identity" story done in a much better way than usual - the FL is consistently strong/badass, and for once, it's she who kidnaps the evil 2FL (this was a highlight for me). Also, her daughter is super cute.
And the ML is less irritating and much less overbearing than they typically are.
Even the Romance is decent, too.

I don't know the title, and I am not particularly happy with the FL's decision-making here, but it has top-notch fight scenes for Micro Drama levels.

Ugh, childhood friends trope, of course, with Prince as well.
But probably would give it a shot... if it were to air one day.

Synopsis: Another badass role for her. However, in some instances, writer(s) cripped their IQ, and pacing could be better

Also, "Goddess of Kitchen" was a hugely entertaining watch, but I can't find a full version on YT anymore.

There are many more Action Movies with her available; not sure how she became a Micro Dramas Action Star.

Just watched it - the FL is exceptionally beautiful and super smart, which makes it a decent watch.
Just a pity about the poor Romance with the ML wearing a god-awful mask, plus the totally needless rebirth, which made look the FL less impressive than she should be.

Personally, I hope for at least 3, 4 and 5 - so they will be able to cover the Novel without rushing things too much.

I remember reading somewhere that they were filming Season 3 immediately after completing Season 2, but it's been a while since then and no news at all.
So maybe a false rumour :(

Is Season 3 confimed?
I tried looking at ZCH social media, but didn't see anything.

I agree, it's quite boring - but this part of the Novel was too. The constant praising gets quite tiresome.

However, I'm so happy to finally see a consistently smart and proactive FL, rather the one always waiting for the villains to attack her or dumbing down the supposedly smart ones just to make the plot more exciting.
I don't compare the Dramas, because the difference in quality is obviously vast, but still, in principle,I will take a more boring Drama/Novel with a consistently smart FL, over dumbing down Minglan (who somehow thought taking concubines from her evil in-laws family would be a good idea or didn't think she could get attacked by the same enemy during childbirth) or Yingluo (who brought her Eunuch Brother back with her after he told her he would be her enemy from now on).

I could even think about a few occasions when the FL could be even smarter and more ruthless, but I guess the author wasn't able to kill the main antagonist too soon.
