From my understanding, she wasn’t poisoned again. BHH herself was still recovering, but used too much of her own blood essense to refine the antidote for others that were poisoned.

This led to a flare-up of her old poison (from the time that XBC treated her). Basically Night Crown used those poisoned nobles as a trap targetting BHH, and they fell for it.

I just don't get the point of SMY's master and her practicing some martial arts that needs BHH to go with. She even used BHH's life to blackmail SZ from telling SMY like what 💀

FSG surviving can be very plot armour, but for MY, traumatic brain injury exists.

The Emperor probably spoil and did not teach Second Prince on politics and everything on purpose. He wanted only FSG for the throne. He never consider anyone else, esp not a Zhuang. So, Second Prince might be able to step up with the right training.

"Jiā guó", first part means home, second part means nation, home before nation. That's how I understand it.

It is the result of the emperor raising him to not be like his mother, just for him to be exactly like her, detesting the palace.

Part of me doesn’t want him to sit in the throne. But if he doesn’t, the country might actually fall. FSG needs to to step out of his childhood trauma first to realise that.

Ikr. That confrontation was the most intense i have felt the whole show. The emperor just exceeded all expectation and more.
