From a plot standpoint, he absolutely is. He could have easily done the very, very, little plot relevant shit QC did WITHOUT bogging us down in boring repetitive siscon monologues so that the time could have been better used in developing our ML and FL.
QJT might be the worst, but at least he's extremely efficient about it.
WGHY ep 18: Fugiu's done enough. I'm going to take all the responsibility and finish this fight myself. WGHY ep 30?: Welp, time for me to abdicate and let Dongfang Yuechu take care of business. I joke, but actually, despite the many, many, many issues I have with Honye, his farewell scene did manage to get me in the feels. The benefits of having a good actor in the role, I suppose.
BUT I also wasn't able to get all the way into it because in the back of my mind was a constant stream of, 'ok, but how's he supposed to do that without a sword meridian?' and, 'You do realise he's only got 30% of his power left at best, right' and 'he's used up almost all of his life points and u expect him to come back alive?' and 'Fugui, imma need you to stop making promises you don't intend to keep.' It very much ruined the mood. All throughout the talk, I was expecting Hongye to pass Fugui his sword meridian, and he just didn't 😔
In other news, dragon girl needs to learn to stop negotiating with terrorists. It never ends well. What she should have done is peaced out the moment she saw the image of Rumu and go find help, preferably Fugui, because he actually has a brain, but at minimum the foxy couple. I mean, what's QJT gonna do if she leaves? Threaten a wall? Kill Rumu so he has no bargaining chip? Torture him while she isn't watching (probably, but he's going to do that no matter what she does, so 🤷)
The distance between Fugui and Qingtong continues to be incredibly awkward. If there were more episodes left, it wouldn't be insurmountable, but with only 4 eps and so much crap to get through... 😔 What could have been. Damn you QC!! 🤬

I was wondering why Fugui had become a side character in his own drama when I suddenly realised Fugui has never been the main character, the main character has always been his sword meridian. We just thought he was the main because he was always with his sword meridian. So when he removed it and was no longer hanging out with it all the time, of course he went back to side character levels of screen time. Meanwhile, his sword meridian? tons of quality screen time.
Need more proof? What did he do in today's episode? Stall for time while the main character takes care of the big bad- classic side character behaviour. What did his sword meridian do? Take out the big bad!
I suppose Qingcheng is kinda impressive in his own way, he is single handedly dragging down this drama and anyone he associates with into the depths of hell. Qingtong has lost like 90 IQ points since starting to hang out with him. Like girl what happened? You used to be so smart 😭
I can't even enjoy the fun non QC parts because I'm too busy raging at his stupid face. Like Rumu and dragon girl's romance is very touching (although seriously Rumu, you let just any rando waltz into your dungeon now? ) but I'm too busy being angry at all QC's screen time to care!

Yes please. Within the first 2 minutes of the next episode if possible. I know it's unlikely because he needs to do evil villain plot things, but perhaps a grand piano could fall on his head? Just throwing that out there, you know, just in case production feels like making a change to improve the plot.

The way I started clapping when Qing Tong started slicing. I really honestly wish she had finished the job but good for her for keeping the big picture in mind and also not blackening her soul I guess.
