One thing I don't like about this Foxspirit matchmaker series is that they put in these incredibly annoying, slimy, cartoon villains with no nuance or redeeming qualities whatsoever and then keep them in the show for far too long. First, there was Jin Ren Feng in LiP and now Quan Jing Ting and Qing Cheng here. I didn't watch RMP but I know JRF was in it, probably still being the worst.

There's nothing wrong with a cartoon villain now and then, but they need to do their thing and then they need to be killed off WITH PREJUDICE! They cannot be hanging around for the whole damn drama like this JFC

He's certainly good at making me want to reach into the screen and punch him in the face.

Qing Tong's Grief Tree challenge quest was excellent but the rest of her storyline here continues to be meh. I was really hoping that she would complete the quest, get the mcguffin needed to bring down the black fox once and for all (since this is the last drama in the series), use her new found powers to trap Qing Cheng in a cocoon so I never have to see his stupid face again and bugger off to the desert to find Fugui. Instead, we get semi-evil Qing Tong. sigh

Also, this show once again making me ask, why is Quan Jing Ting still alive???

It's extremely lucky that General Li's type happens to be persistent idiot because otherwise those proposals would just be harassment.

This whole Qing Cheng storyline is so boring. It doesn't help that I haven't liked his actor in anything I've seen him in. The only positive is that Qing Tong is smart, constantly pushes back, and understands he is sus AF.

Also, why is every family in this drama (except the female general's for now) filled with gaslighting, emotional blackmailers?

I cannot believe how badly this drama is edging me over QGT's death. Every time I think it's going to happen they're like haha nope.

I am enjoying the continuing adventures of Li Lian Hua and Fang Duo Bings A and B so much. They are so unserious 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Also Fugui embracing the normie life and sleeping in instead of getting up for morning practice. love it.

It's hilarious to me that Fugiu thinks the fox is holding a grudge, and that's why he's hanging around, because that's, of course, what people who hold grudges do, and it's not, for instance, that he likes him because he reminds him of his big bro.

I cannot believe Hongye did not set Fugui up with bags and bags of gold before dumping him in the western region. When he said he was making lanterns, I was like yes, yes, every young master needs a hobby. Then he said I don't need much, so I can get by and I was like WHAT? What are you talking about?? Fugui, I know you were very busy saving the asses of a bunch of ungrateful bastards, but you couldn't have angled your strike down just slightly? And Hongye I get that you're the most wishy washy person alive, but after everything that happened, why the hell is QJT still sweeping leaves in some random courtyard and not chained up in a cell somewhere???
