Too deep in thoughts maybe...
The vision for the plot is there. Like, I get it? But they don't explain it well enough. A lot of things are just left hanging. There's no proper opening, buildup, or closure whatsoever. It's more like BOOM, "I like you" "sex" "I love you" "it's you or none" "idc about anyone else." I get where this is going, but the journey there was just not developed enough.
Shu Yuan's acting is very versatile, and I find his acting as "Gao Zhun" feels waayy more immersive and convincing compared to "Zhang Zhun." Also, the cinematography for the "Deep in" play is SOOOO GOOD. The transitions and all really make it feel like I'm watching two dramas at once.
