Engaging from start to finish!
I do love a good crime story that grabs your attention and keeps you there until the end. this was a great story with enough variables to kept your mind fully engaged as it unfolded. The writer did an amazing job of weaving the each character’s story to the bottom line plot - to prove CDH’s father’s innocence.Lee JunHo was Choi Da Hyeon -PERIOD- so well played. His reserved, distrustful personality is not surprising given CDH’s history, his mom missing from his life (not known when she died), battling heart disease all his life, receiving a new heart at the same time of his father’s incarceration. the story doesn’t tell us, but prior to his father’s demise, we can surmise CDH had a healthy support system that fueled his honorability. I like that this was a quest-for-truth plot versus a revenge plot. thanks to his honorable nature, CDH never wavered from that quest.
Enter the other people in his life, Yu-ri, Miss Jin, and of course Ki Chun Ho (KCH) - each brings their own story to the table, enriching the story further. All are important to his quest for truth but ultimately to CDH himself. The story of the heart transplant itself is touching, if not heart wrenching, to see how it’s depth affected Miss Jin, Yu Ri, CDH as well as CDH’s father.
Yoo Jae Myung as KCH brought the necessary fiery passion of an idealistic detective who’s straightforward approach to truth and justice was a perfect compliment to CDH’s character. without the two types it wouldn’t have been as great a bromance.
Were it not for the very well, diversely played villains, there wouldn’t be a story, right?
this is not a negative, but we never really saw the depth of the very real physical issues CDH had as a transplant patient/survivor except for when KCH pushed him and the scene where CDH is gasping for breath trying to keep up with KCH on that steep climb up the hill. I think some additional moments seeing CDH handle his obvious vulnerability would have brought additional depth to his character.
Confession is a well executed, well paced KDrama, that left us with a satisfying (not rushed) ending. congrats to all cast and crew!
I believe if one of the major streaming platforms, like Prime or Netflix, picked this drama up, it would get the true recognition it deserves as it rivals any American or British crime drama. while I’m happy to have found it on TUBI, the plethora of commercials every 8 minutes was excruciating. Three commercial breaks per episode would be more viewer friendly.

Amazing but not complete without Season 2
Excellent throughout but ended abruptly. 2-4 more episodes would have given us a complete and satisfying ending.Everyone, Writer(s), Director, Cast, Crew, etc., did 120% to make this a truly riveting story. And I was truly invested in the story as well as the characters. Yes, fantastical in parts, but that’s the essence of these kinds of action adventure thrillers. Young Hoon’s death was never lost in the plot and Dal- Geon never lost his purpose in seeking and exposing the truth.
BTW- some movies are designed to give viewers a glimpse of reality or offer a warning of what may be to come. I hope this story is not even a small reflection of Korea’s government as I’ve come to love Korea and her people and only wish the best for them and their country as we are very significant allies (here in the US, we’re just crawling out of what seems, in my opinion, the worst 15+ year scandal in our 250-year history - and we’ve had a few big ones).
I would have been disappointed if this drama had been wrapped up too quickly with an overall sloppy ending as is the case with some dramas. Great as it was, it ended with the obvious set up to allow the story to continue.
So, you incredible Korean story tellers…., where is the rest of this amazing story????

Fully engaging!!
I was fully engaged with this drama because the believable, excellent acting (made possible by excellent directing), cinematogrophy, topped off by top notch editing (editing can make or break a story) brought a great well writren, intriguing story to life. The cast was excellent (first time for most of them and becoming a real fan of ABH) but I must mention the story arch of Nah Tae Nam throughout the drama was so very well portrayed by KWS. Congrats to you all!!!Knowing this is fiction and was viewed as such, it’s a reminder of 2 very important things: 1) the mind is very fragile. people are capable of almost anything if pushed far enough; and 2) absolute power corrupts absolutely.

this web of lies
all caught up to Ep 8…, I’m so frustrated by all the lies. the amount of lying is over the top. Regarding the ML, if this were happening to me, and I finally find out the truth, I’d want nothing to do with all of them for ever. the FL’s lies to cover the original lie are unforgivable. there’s still several episodes to go. it appears the truth will come out very soon - how are they going to untangle the web of lies believably? I don’t hae this drama, but I feel there has to be a turning point soon toward the truth and reconciliation.I
