A story with potential BUT
I really like fantasy kdramas and this one had a very interesting plot which could have really captivated me IF the pace would have been faster. Guess bad cut decision and mediocre directing choices or simply a sloppy script ruined a potentially very entertaining tv series. The acting was mid as well but I blame it on the mediocre direction. The main lead is sweet and possibly talented but I have issues with Korean actors that look so unnatural (botox etc), I find it distracting (difficult to forget they are actors and get into the story). The female lead is mid as to acting skills, didn’t give me much, but maybe with a better script/director…Was this review helpful to you?
Luo Yunxi deserves better
I have been waiting for so long to see Luo Yunxi in another fantasy drama and I am so disappointed by the lack of taste of the producers of this series. Very idiotic music choices that ruin pretty much every scene. Acting, besides Luo, is ridiculous, buffoonish, the storyline could be ok, I guess, with a decent script and direction, which is absolutely not the case.I hope a good director and a great script find Luo Yunxi soon, because he is an amazing talented actor and a real primadonna, in the best way possible.
