Duoban is biased for most popular actors. This show also isn’t low budget. People in china like this show, most review it positively, they like the plot, and lots of good comments on LuoYunXi’s visuals and acting.

Not sure if you picked up this subtle clue, but the Emperor said that ZhenZhu “ would have been his daughter in law if not for the events in past”, so he was likely preferring to the 4th prince Lisi and that the two would have been betrothed when they were little.

Lisi is the 4th prince, we know this from the start. Meng Rui’s younger brother was mistaken for Lisi and he was shot.

Also he changes his voice to suit different characters, in Whispers of Fate (mostly re-recorded in post production) his voice is indeed sweeter and gentler, but that’s because TangLici is so elegant 😊 Lisi grew up from the hood so his voice more down to earth

This is his real voice and he always uses his own voice for his roles, the only exception was “and the winner is love” because of the lock down during the pandemic. If you find his voice a little different it’s likely because there are parts of the show uses the voices during filming, instead of re-recording in post production. Luoyunxi is known for his unique voice actually.

I recommend Lie To Love with LuoYunXi and ChengXiao if you haven’t seen that one, it’s a very sweet storyline.

The plot is really good even without the romance, the main plot line starts revealing at ep 5. The low rating isn’t accurate, a few haters down voted it. But it’s climbing again now

I’m not sure what she means by ep12. Bai warmed up to Lisi in case 2, I’m on ep 11 and they are all really friendly. And she is genuinely happy to see Lisi when he shows up. There is no frustrating relationships in this show.

It didn’t bother me. Their initial attitudes were more defensive because they had always handled cases with strict rules and guidelines. Then Lisi shows up with all his unconventional tactics, and they were just taken aback by that. This is pretty accurate of real life office dynamics. In no way were they ever disrespectful to Lisi, they always acknowledged his effectiveness and then cautioned on the unorthodox methods. In case 2 they already warm up to him a lot more, and it’s nice to watch they develop trust and work together

LXY is the only main lead. SYJ is one of the main characters, part of the main trio. She is the forensic examiner, LXY is the brains, and Allen Fang the brawns.

Every time he plays the villain he completely steals the show! I saw in the trailers that there are some later plot where he gets possessed by something evil, I look forward to it so much, he looked so hot 🥵
