That’s too bad, I get that this show isn’t for everyone. If you are here for LYX and you are only on the first few episodes, I’d say keep watching because the first few episodes spends more time setting up the world and the supporting characters. Once LYX’s gets more proactive in this world ( starting ep 4/5) you will see the show gets better and better. As a LYX fan for many years, I would say this is his best role yet.

Please check out the group variety show!! It’s so funny and everyone just seems like an extension of their on screen characters!

Agreed Flourished Peony definitely did better, but I just did a quick check and I saw that FP had a day with 84mm views on MaoYan. Not even sure if it is the highest day on MaoYan for FP. So WoF’s 68M doesn’t seem impossible. Also both FP and WoF were expected to be way above average shows on MgTv, they were supposed to bring up the average viewership for the platform. FP did that very well, WoF so far less so but still pretty good, I hope reaches more people in the future.

Sounds like you follow data pretty closely like I do. I said that MaoYan,DengTa and KuYun all show rising trends, I didn’t specially talk about the numbers. I don’t know that the real numbers for WoF but it can’t be as goo as MGTV’s front end, but also it can’t be as bad as YunHe. All you can say with the other data is that it’s a popular show, it has high social engagement, it’s done well commercially. In WoF tho, YunHe number is clearly suspicious, so I just want to make sure people on this forum don’t just take it at face value and think it was a flop in China. For those of us that have watched the show, we should know its quality.

Also another note that revenue numbers from WoF related merchandise is now top 2 for all CDrama’s this year. Definitely on pace for number one given it’s only aired 20+ days. It’s definitely very popular since people are willing to buy the merch! ( and again it doesn’t tie with the YunHe numbers, because according to YunHe, no one is watching WoF, lol)

No, if you dig into the YunHe numbers they were specifically targeting WoF. Basically if you look other mango shows they apply about 0.2-0.3 multiplier to the front end view numbers. For WoF it’s about 0.1. That means they cut WoF’s numbers by half. Also YunHe is the only one that showed WoF had declining % of viewership, where as all other platforms, like Kuyun, MaoYan, DengTa, all showed rising trends. Finally WoF was consistently top 1 or 2 on Datawin in the past few weeks. All of these numbers indicate that YunHe is the outlier. This is why their numbers can’t be trusted for WoF.

It’s done very well, no need to look at YunHe data because that’s from third party and they cooked the numbers. There is actual viewing numbers on MangoTV it’s self. So why use third party? So far the cumulative views puts WoF at top 3 historically for MgTv. This show has only been out for 20+ days. It is destined for number 2 or 1 eventually.

I think the show is about letting go of the past and embracing the present, so you should see more with the new friends there.

100%. I really can’t imagine anyone else playing TLC. This is a hard character to pull off, and requires top notch acting, martial arts skills, visuals, chemistry with the other members of the cast. And Luo Yun Xi nailed it
