Anyway, I personally don't care much about the ending as long as it follows a logical path (and by logical I don't mean a necessarily happy one)

A Shui is indeed playing a more important role than what it seems to be. Wait for a couple episodes and you'll find out.

It's totally normal. However they get disappointed once they realise the writer might not prefer that so called balanced ending. I like it when authors write for the sake of their own preferences, not viewers expectationsOtherwise there wouldn't exist any tragedies.

In my opinion WoF is not suitable for the common audience who prefer to watch repetitive storylines, avoid complex relations between characters ( i mean take LY for instance, many viewers are unable to understand his motives and feelings) , and enjoy sugar-coated and forced happy endings. The whole plot is circulating around tragedies. Just consider the sequence of events happening throughout the drama, they all suggest at least a tragic ending if not a heavily heart wrenching one.
It's just so frustrating when there are so many things going on, so many dilemmas to be dealt with and mysteries to be solved, but an acceptable ending is just ML ending up with someone 🤣🤣🤣
Weird how no matter what the plot is about, some people still manage to grab the barely existing romance only.

She was initially kind of greedy. Her constant efforts to make herself stand out, combined with her lack of confidence, the rejection from TLC, LY’s manipulations, and the bug that made her controlled by intrusive thoughts — all together, it’s not that unpredictable for her to turn evil.

That's why it feels so real. Bro's such a gifted actor. I genuinely didn't expect him to bring more emotionally engaging acts than what he showcased in TTEOTM, turns out I was WRONNNG😭

And it's absolutely magnificent how LYX played this whole scene.
Throughout the entire take his eyes were on the verge of tears.
I just can't believe this was just a filmed scene. Evey emotion felt terrifyingly real.

I was literally thinking the same thing. I've seen this scene in almost every cdrama, but this one in particular was just superficially similar, in a bit deeper take there were so much more to it. Specially when the lanterns lights went out it just shattered my heart into pieces. Or the way A Shui's facial expression changed when she realised the wooden sculpture given to her could count as a farewell as well.
I don't know, this whole episode was just such a masterpiece.

I already cried watching ep29, i don't think i can survive the upcoming episodes.

I saw a preview showing how TLC transferred FZ's heart into his own body and got seriously triggered. I've seen worse but why the hell did they make that scene? that innocent and poor thing going through all that pain was not on my watch list 😭😭😭

BTW, It was so refreshing to see a character refusing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of others. TLC had so many doubts and hesitations before he made his decision. Way more realistic than what I'd seen in previous dramas.

I understand that. I'm just confused with how things went on during the fall of the previous dynasty, was it Yique Yinyang who planned it? Was it other forces behind? It just feels like i didn't really figured the whole thing out.

I'm a bit confused after watching ep28, why did the younger royal brother went after Yique Yinyang for help? Wasn't he the one leading the rebel army and causing their downfall himself? 🤔

Exactly, although easy, that would also be a possibility. but then again, where the hell is Fang Zhou's body? I'm pretty sure TLC wouldn't lie to LY about that and I'm not ready for him finding out how he's been going around unaware of the empty coffin in Zhoudi Tower😭

On the contrary, since LY is low-key reminding me of moran in erha i just can't develop any negative feelings for him. I know I'm being biased but he's actually one of my favourite characters. Anyway, i can't wait to see the regretful look in his eyes once he realises what a huge mistake he has made.

Exactly, and it's worth mentioning how each episode is more thrilling than the previous ones, like how are they not running out of ideas and innovations??? I was totally expecting an intense fight in ep18 but was provided with such a delicate surprise.

In fact, many viewers dropped it because of the complexity of the plot, saying they could not understand what was going on. It's a shame most people watching cdramas prefer predictable storylines and clichés.
