that’s rightttt!! actually there’s also a thing going where the production team change some of the ML dialogue through dubbing. basically there’s some line like in ep 13 where he woke up from coma, originally he shouted “Mother” but the dubbed version make him shouted “Qingtong” instead. 😭 So yeah, I guess the drama wasn’t centered around romance but somehow they change it to aligned with the romance genre😭😭 ughhhh the production team are messy

I strongly agree with your point. it’s like the director and writer are the boss here if they wanna change something then the actors and actress can’t do anything except do whatever they are told to do. yes, perhaps both leads can suggest their ideas but still if the productions staff disagree then what can the leads do🥲 For me if the drama is bad then it’s fully the director and writer fault

the director probably change mid way. it’s very common for the producers and director to change direction or not follow the original script. But tbh, I couldn’t even open my weibo anymore because of the comments made by fans; they are unhappy about Chengyi and Yitong screentime so each fandom express their opinion, some are unhappy about the buff up of QT character, some saying FL didn’t stood up for the changes like the ML did. these created a very heated comment between fans. it’s so toxic that I don’t even wanna read anything on Weibo anymore. ☹️
