Honestly this is exactly how I try to make sense of all her actions but damn it’s really hard seeing her fumble…
a lot of people are furious of Qingtong character which make me kinda sad 🥹 it’s all because of bad writing, if only the writer clearly explained the character goal clearly😭😭
I think as same as you! It's not a bad plot if it was written well, definitely the writers could have done a better…
if only the writer show some clarity to Qingtong character like clarify that she doesn’t want to bother Fugui, that would make the audience understand Qingtong character. and yes, I agree with you. It is quite a bad written, I see the vision of what the writer want to express but it’s not clearly shown. 😭
I see alot of unsatisfactory for Qingtong character. I also felt the same. Did the writer got drunk?
But my positive explanation is that I think she took her brother away because she didn’t want to burden Fugui as she know Fugui still has some internal injuries. If he extract the black fox out of Qingcheng body, that would exhaust Fugui’s strength. Also at that time the Yiqi alliance were outside, Qingtong must have been pressured so she just quickly escaped with her bro.
Qingtong isn’t thinking straight unlike before because of the seed (she have said that after getting the seed her anger kinda grew) and she also later found out that her power or strength is connected to Qingcheng when she was trying to save Qingcheng.
I seriously don’t know why the writer downgrade Qingtong character so much and the writing is super messy. hopefully after these mess the plot toward the ending will be satisfied.

Fugui is comforting an anxious little bird demon to sleep by telling him a story. then a woman walked in holding plates (tea or medicine perhaps) I cannot tell if the woman is Qingtong or someone else because the video cut right then.
