Somewhat? It's all together unapealing for most individualistic person who prefer privacy, look what it did to Lady Diana +she married the wrong brother. So life in the Royal family was hell for her.
Ep 4 now, and now we talking baby... can't believe it took me this long to get into it, Ig it really needed a pinch amount of palace politics... the chemistry took off with this ep. Anyways the only thing I find annoying is the restrictions imposed on royal family members, idk if it's self imposed or by public, it's like k-pop idol restrictions but on steroids, like wtf you're of no such administrative use, like nothing much will change if you cease to exist all of a sudden, there are people for that...all you've to do is to live peacefully with your estate or on public tax, whatever is the norm of the country, stay trendy with the family status, what's up with all those nonsensical rules and restrictions, like live a little, let a child be a child, let individuals live their own life... no ones interested in such a symbolic representation of the throne, seriously like who gives a fck, there are better things to do in the modern world, like sitting back and making the royal family an object of spectation, people are power now. And you're happy to give in, so stay the fck in your lane without your pomp and just look pretty on tabloids, don't if you prefer privacy, that's it. Can't wait for the royal family bs to get resolved by the end, or it's nonsensical restrictive rules and ethics atleast.
So an update on my part, the main characters, I love them more now... someone suggested I should look at them like British royalties, since it's hard for me to get into modern royal characters so ig it's helped, but the plot however....how do I say it, the sub plots and back stories sound more interesting than the main plot so far. The chemistry so far felt kinda lukewarm, the slow burn factor felt missing. Can't stand old rituals limitising and being used to draw a distance between them by a certain someone, also why the love triangle!!! Really hate it...Ig today's episode will be the deciding factor weather it's worth continuing the watch... currently suffering cuz of lazy plot writing...the actors did great with what they were given to work with.

Yk what, if she's indeed the villain and I have to see at her worst, I love for that fictional monarchy or whatever it is, to collapse by the end of the drama...never been a fan of them in the modern era. Cuz all she cares is about is that trifling of a status to the point of killing her husband and suffocating her own child under her wing, once that gone, what's she gonna do? She doesn't seem as irredeemable as of now, but we'll see...

Talking of British Royal family...the last thing that made them relatable to 'common folks' en masse was princess Diana... she's called people's princess for a reason. I think that sort of relatable bridge element to the monarchy is yet missing in the drama which is why it's taking time for most people to get into it. Think about it, in a modern era what's the use of the royal status if you aren't relatable at all to the normal people. The popularity of the British Royal family exists because of the extensive PR that portrays them as relatable people.

Maybe I'm a bit more forgiving, so I'll give chance to two more episodes, if it still fails to pique my interest by then, gonna drop it...The first two eps were hella boring, fell asleep twice while trying to watch it... and this sort of AU Constitutional monarchy backdrop is not my cuppa tea anyways, just in for the star power, but if plot fails there's no point of wasting time.
