funny how everyone jumps on a bandwagon to ruin someone's life with no proof and they don't realize they are acting EXACTLY like the toxic best friend or wannabe girlfriend or stepmom that EVERYONE hates in all these shows, and that why would say they would "never be like that" but yet that is exactly like what they have been doing. Just like they all did with Saint and Perth. Even though Perth helped his agent spread rumors about saint that got saint fired and blacklisted and having to pay back MANY contract fees Perth was completely fine and did not have any hardships at all. Meanwhile later it was proven Perth and his ex-agent did it and the agent got fined and went to jail and still nothing happened to Perth and yet Saint never got an apology or anything and stayed blacklisted so he had to build his own production company just to continue being an actor and people held Saint guilty and Perth innocent when in reality it was Perth was guilty and Saint was innocent. and even IF the rumors HAD BEEN true Saint would have still been innocent since they were that Saints mother sold him to men as a child and FORCED him.

i don't know about any of it. but there is a MAJOR flaw in your logic. they fire people ALL the time for rumors and things that are proven to not be true just because of public sentiment. for MAJOR example Saint (Love By Chance, Sweetheart Jom) he was fired because rumors said his mother used to force him to sell his body as a child. which even if it had been true (but wasn't) means people should have felt bad for him and supported him for having been through so much BUT instead people turned against him and started calling him nasty and used and a prostitute etc. The ONLY reason he is even acting anymore is because after he was fired and BLACKLISTED he HIMSELF took ALL the money he had and took out some loans and built his OWN production company and now produces and films his OWN movies so he can still act. I mean seriously we have lost SOOOO MANY BL actors because it is found out they are in a relationship or their acting partner and them went on a real date because real feelings started to form or because an ex comes out of the woodwork and confirms they are gay (i mean seriously its BULLSHIT that we lose BL actors just because it gets confirmed they are truly gay, when in reality people should be happy about it) hell for quite a few years the highest paid BL actors in thailand were LOVED until they announced they were in a real relationship and were going to get married, then they got fired lost all their contracts and the ONLY film they've been in since really is not a film but when their wedding was filmed and broadcasted. So just because someone got fired does NOT mean they did ANYTHING wrong AT ALL. I mean hell if that was true then Perth should have been fired LONG AGO. Considering it was proved HIS AGENT was the one who started the rumors about Saint to the point his ex agent even served jail time, and there were emails proving that the manager and Perth talked about it and he did not disagree at all or say to not start the rumors, he went along with it. And since STILL NEVER apologized to Saint and tries his hardest to avoid him. BUT EVERYONE STILL LOVES Perth, even though in reality he is NOT a good person at all, violated contracts, lied about his co-star, cost Saint to get blacklisted and in MAJOR trouble and pay back money on other contracts that the companies canceled since he got black listed, etc. So someone being fired does NOT make them guilty AT ALL. and just like someone still being employed does NOT make them innocent AT ALL. and lets face it MOST of the BL fans are women so they will ALWAYS believe the "hottest" guy is being wronged and deserves another chance as where the "okay looking guy" was guilty and doesn't deserve a chance. And since women are the majority of fans the company (because its board only cares about money) is going to do WHATEVER the fans want that will make them more money. And what is even WORSE the MAJORITY of women Bl fans are also homophobic, they will never say so, but they are the ones who throw a fit when they figure out a BL actor is actually gay, they are the ones that say they can't be a role model if gay, they are the ones who think gay guys are "made" because either a guy can't get a girl or was molested or had a terrible mother or terrible break up etc. they do not think gay is a normal thing, they think something "happened" to make a person gay. Every guy that i have ever met that was "homophobic" has become my friend and is not homophobic at all even though they even think they are. Maybe transphobic but not homophobic. But most women i have met say they aren't then when out of sight they say the MOST vile things about gays, or you piss one off somhow (usually by a small disagreement) and they start cussing you and calling you a nasty f*gg*t and have a l**se *sshole and just all sorts of vile disgusting shit and how gay guys are just perverts and there is no love and it is all only perversion and sex blah blah blah. So being fired or staying hired is NOT a reason to make a judgement, and "fan sentiment" is NOT a reason to make a judgement about something you have no idea about. all you are doing is jumping on a bandwagon and maybe helping to ruin someone's life that may be innocent. so maybe look into things more before just agreeing with what others say. ESPECIALLY since that is the underlining morals IN MOST OF THESE BL SHOWS TO NOT JUDGE AND TO NOT BELIEVE OTHERS WITHOUT PROOF, by doing so you are just acting like the toxic friend to the toxic wannabe girlfriend or stepmom that everyone hates in all these shows.

the animated is the same way. but just a little less censored, just slightly sweeter and softer moments. and mostly very different scenes, they really do create the whole story after seeing both. ALTHOUGH there is ONE scene that is the same, the first scene Wuxian plays the flute and Wanji grabs him from behind, and i will say THAT SCENE specifically in Untamed was EVEN MORE beautiful, especially with the longing look. But the weird thing is in Untamed there are parts that are sweet but kind of make no sense really, like missing back story, then the animated has the backstory scene that makes things even deeper, but then the animated doesn't have the follow up scene that Untamed does, very odd but more fitting for how i say apart they are both not the full story but together they are the full story. like the rabbits have a reason but are not explained in Untamed and the animated has a scene that builds on the cave scene where Wanji played the zither, but then does have the actual zither scene like Untamed does, so truly watch the animated, and if you are the type who can rewatch a show, the rewatch Untamed and it will be even better the second time around and feel even deeper even though i know right now that does not sound possible.

Untamed is a bl. Like literally. censorship made it in the end where they parted but the true end is they both went to live together in Wanji's mom's old house where she was "exiled" because she was loved to much by her husband to put her to death even though that is what the crimes called for. Watch the animated version it is a little less censored and explores a lot of the story they left un explored while Untamed also explores a lot of the story that Mo Dao Zu Shi (the animated version) did not. together they create an almost perfect whole story. I mean literally the fact he grabbed the hair ribbon that only a spouse could touch and he stopped getting upset about it proves that even in his mind they had become married. so even in Untamed it was a BL. Just HEAVILY censored because Mo Dao Zu Shi is also one of the most popular novels there and is already even started to become considered a classic because hoe beautiful and impactful and perfect the story is even though it is nowhere near old enough to truly be classic yet. it has also had some of the highest foreign sales. so China did not want a "gay" show to be the LITERAL BIGGEST hit they have ever had, because it would have been so they ultra censored Untamed. Because for their biggest hit EVER to be a BL they felt would spell weakness for the country and make them laughed at by everyone, so although it was still a HUGE hit there are others that rival it because a lot of people still called it off and did not watch it due to the censorship. But it is VERY VERY GAY. In the novel Wanji even gets PREGNANT because Wuxian casts a spell and the side effects from the spell made him able to get pregnant after they... ya know hahahaha. There is still censorship in the animated, but it is WAY LESS and has many more places for obvious inference. Like the ending when they head to Wanji's mom's house Wuxian thinks of how his dad used to lead the donkey while his mom sat on the donkey and shared sweet looks at each other then comes out of his day dream and calls Wanji to lead the donkey to recreate that moment.

i cried the whole last episode... my cat was half bobcat aka half lynx haha... born in the woods and i got him as a kitten and he already had heart worms from birth although super rare for cats. and then the other day he puked and gagged for a hour, was fine for a day then the next day weak and a few hours later passed. he was only 5 years and 4 months old and no matter what i still can't stop saying it was my fault and there was something i could have done. and it happened so quickly while i went to the bathroom and i hate myself for not waiting and just hold him til it happened...

@EddFrost no, bromance when talking about asian movies and shows actually refers to gay BUT so heavily censored they do not portray the characters actually BEING gay. as for this show categorizing it as a bromance is wrong considering the company that produced it came out and said flat out it IS a BL. But most asian shows if there is no kiss or NC sense they will label it as a bromance

I am there with the mental, major depression at times myself too. those times i like depressing shows as well, but only if end on happpy or at least bittersweet note, but if i am feeling helpless the last thing i need or want is those kinds. i just wished we didnt have to lessen one genre to increase the other is i guess my issue, i do not mind them being made more and even like it, but i hate that one has to suffer for the other to thrive. just like i LOVE period or ancient setting dramas but those are rarely made (in the BL world anyways i mean hahahha i do watch PLENTY of straight ones like Eternal Love Of The Fox <3<3<3<3 and How Dare You <3<3<3<3 which are my most recent.)

i LOVE the horror BLs honestly, especially since the way my brain feels about them is they are fluffy, because most are so sweet and loving and the romance side is not all drama or cheating and is truly "love is the strongest thing in the universe kind of feeling" then the story is what is all crazy which can be a nice contrast to the moments it is just them and the cute happy love. so especially those i love, but yes i so agree with more variety. and you are right there is a better balance in that way now, even this last year we got almost as many period BLs as they have made in the previous 10 years. it made me very happy.

personally my favorite "school dramas" are the ones like Rearranged and ESPECIALLY Love For Love's Sake. the ones where it is someone who goes back in time to fix mistakes and then gets to move on from that time and not that gets then transported back to the present where they do not know what happened the previous 10 years between the past and present. that whole getting a second chance at life thing it warms my heart <3<3<3<3 they also usually have a heavier and more developed feel to them, especially the emotions and thought processes. and for that same feeling, i feel the same as you. i am now 30 :"( and i dont want to watch two middle schoolers or 16 year olds fall in love, it is okay if they are 18, MAYBE 17 and played by older actors, but the ones where it is literal kids playing the roles, i just cant. but usually if they are not at least in college, i cannot do it hahahahaha. and i agree, there are some that get me in the feels and fangirling as well, that is how Minato's Laundromat was for me. soooooo agree with the food is food, i hate when i see reviews that trash something because the script was a little sloppy or not the best filming or not many sets. it is like this is better than i EVER could have dreamed of as a kid when all they made were movies about lovers getting together only for one or both to die from AIDS. i do disagree slightly on the NC scenes. i agree with your outlook on it, BUT for me personally i like it when it only does kissing in the bed then the camera pans away or only shows the in sex position and then pans away and pans back and its daylight and they are waking up holding each other. i personally am not into the heavy NC scenes, that is why i still have not watched Bedfriends or Only Friends and some others. and in my experience i usually find it more being the women asking for more hot and heavy NC scenes because normally if a guy wants hot and heavy they'll pull up some amateur porn hahahahahahahahahahah. But this is a big world, it is easy to have differing personal experiences. But like Wandee Goodday i LOVED, but it had a LOT of steamy scenes and i liked them, but anything more than that and i have to skip through. Especially those scenes that are like 5 minutes long hahahahhaha.

Thank you :D And as for me, i do believe i found my fairy-tale ending, i fell in love with someone who is finally perfect for me and loves me as much as i love him and is sincere and ginuine about a year and a half ago. although seeing each other has been difficult because we live far away from each other and it has been it's own battle,we are engaged and i am moving in a couple of months to be with him after i sell my house here. and that is probably why i want more fluff than usual the last year because i have come further out of my depression than i have in years, i honestly cannot remember a time when i felt as happy as i have with him. BUT i will still always love my stories (i love using that wording for shows, like a grandma from the 70s-80s, "my stories are on" hahahaha) and i DEFINITELY yell and argue at the screen ALL THE TIME.
