truthfully not really that original. just seems new in context of modern day shows. but if you think about shows of ancient times or wuxia type shows they used gems or taels or other forms of money as not only money but also to increase their spirtitual powers/cultivation. in all reality it is just a modern take on an old trope. but it is AMAZING and honestly suprising it hasn't been done before. the writer(s) must be EXTREMELY creative.

no, the person who commented is ignorant or just did not pay attention to the show. Which is 90% of the people on MDL because they always cry they do not understand thing that happen in shows, even though the shows either explicitly explain it OR it just uses a little common sense and logic. Like most Thai shows they say make no sense and it is like "if you have the intelligence of a 8 year old or higher and paid attention it made PERFECT sense.

no it is not. one is married into the family. no blood relation for one. for two when someone married technically speaking (in all cultures) the spouse is the ONLY one related to the new family. so imagine a woman with a kid married a man, she is the ONLY one from her family that is related to the man's side, same goes for her child, he is not related to the man's family. the man is the ONLY ONE related to her family, meaning, yes he is related to the kid, BUT ONLY HIM. but OVERALL no they are not cousins, one is a COUSIN IN LAW. although that term is not real and just something we say. because the LAW would not recognize them as cousins. this is ACTUALLY why and how the term "play-cousins" came from. situations like this.
