I really appreciated the interweaving of the soul exchange till the last episode in such a beautiful manner as it was one of the main theme of the series. Even the villain's backstory did not make for an iota of sympathy for that character, the Left Minister was cowardly until the end. Kudos to the actors, writers , director basically everyone on the team for providing with a wonderfully worthwhile time. The loyal entourage's reaction due the Princess and the Prince's lovey - dovey, touchy- feely moments were very cute (the pregnancy announcement scene was hilarious, also the very next part-the baby pops out) (Their last kiss needs this separate acknowledgment). What was that with the second couple, after all their struggle to be together then the FL(a mention to her dark wardrobe) wants to be righteous? Halleluiah for Woono to decide to follow her (also thanks to the King for changing the law with them in mind);their one glimpse with happy ending was nice to watch too. LOVED that the court lady of the princess and the guard of the prince get together though for a moment a mini heart attack was about to happen with the eunuch (poor him, crying in solidarity with you, man, for being alone too hahaha) coming in between. "Because our time will flow for a very long time" ~ the series is a good memory and will stay with us.
Need another collaboration of Kang Tae-Oh and Kim Se-Jeong to see their connection ... O fate, miracle, red thread make it happen <3
I began with very high interest to watch Taxi Driver and finished Season 1 a few years back (it is in Netflix), had skipped the whole Season 2 because sort of knew the story from YT shorts and other spoilers (will perhaps watch it later) ...But currently watching Season 3 and what a journey it is being. The whole team did a really good job with having something different and interesting in every story, everything from the casting, music, background sounds, acting, direction etc. were excellent ! The first 1 and 2 episodes were really cool, like every scene and part , even fell in love with the human trafficking villain's role a lot, for how if there is a worthy adversary ( and he for sure was one -did not disappoint, his scene where he kills the girl with multiple stabbings to 'save' , relive her of pain- diabolical) the hero shines more. Also the brotherly bonding that was born between them- any ordinary greedy guy might have turned to our mob boss's side but not our Mr.Kim. The Interpol guy was nice too(made me a fan of these Japanese and Hong Kong actors. From the starting episodes, the series again really made me want to learn driving also to have skills like our taxi driver;) 😘. Episode 3 and 4 (what is it with the concurring theme of villain having tattoos, full of swag and being hot- no complaining though instead thoroughly enjoyin' it, there were even similarity with the boss's lanky with the middle part- ep.2 pooping , ep.3- mouth spraying : evil cuties 🤣)... with the pushover victims felt that it hit a bit too close to home (in shopping too don't most of us go through this as well from salesperson, for sure of course not on the range shown in the series but like the concept?), I LOL'ed during the serious scene when the father- to- be was being forced to take the key and in comes Mr. Kim with the car bumping(oops <3💋 kissing haha, the sound effect too, hilarious!). To be in the car with Mr.Kim when he was racing with the other supercars...ufff,it would have been car ride of a lifetime, worth every speed. For this episode (in the overseas episodes even with all the illicit setting thought that with yakuza only fist fight or swords were okay, maybe relevant) I was thinking if the bad guys just had a gun our taxi driver would have been defeated (how come they don't own one with doing so much illegal dealings? having a gun would make for the goons to have easy control over others- well maybe they didn't lose complete humanity ). The ending for the ex- lawyer (such blatant misuse of knowledge that is why the saying goes with great power comes great responsibility ) and his company men were truly deserving (whereas the drowning and getting shot for ep.1 villain fell a little short and fast , perhaps wanted more of him, still ep.1 and 2 will make a soft place in your heart). In episode 5,6,7,and 8 - a different approach with nostalgia angle, how young minds can be manipulated so to have a bright, positive influence can make or break them, for example Mr. Kim as an European Scout (how many languages does this actor actually know😎) was to the athlete (it was not too late for him) but how the other victims were killed 15 years ago and after and another promising one left at the hospital. There were some comic relief moments with the gym and gambling guy, the corrupt coach and his match fixing cheater sportsman -money really becomes the root of all evil in these episodes of volleyball. The main perpetrator initially I thought would be an epic kingpin sort but he was just a psychopathic, fanatic, wannabe architect of games but his live burial was satisfactory.
It seems there is not even one bad episode. This one made me sad and grateful with Dal I and her parents' action, giggle with the Crown Prince with his and Dal I's (sticking with one another)scene, feel frustrated along with the second leading couple, anger that is just adding and festering towards the Left Minister(I get he has a tragic backstory- all of the past reference is a foreshadowing of it, yet it can not be his justice to have vengeance against others who are innocents), and the comic episode with the Queen Dowager(and her table slapping) is always a pleasure... all the supporting characters - the prince's eunuch and guard, Dal I's lady in waiting, the aunt, King and his eunuch, Cha Eun Woo (haha) and others are memorable as well... Thank you to 'The Moon Flows Over the River' for bringing back faith in the first love concept so brilliantly again !
Episode 9 beginning part was hilarious, it made me laugh out loud with Dal I and the Prince's shenanigans, *EEEEKK* the mid part with the proposal with the shoes (saw many with flowers ,photos and other stuff but shoes were a first and done just right) is what dreams are made of -the sweetest...thank you actors, directors, writers everyone for the episode, the intimacy were giving (glasses all foggy from the steamy scene- their kissies are the best!), and finally the end was great too, with the Left Minister being put to jail but mannn now the King wants the death...can't wait for the next episodes and for our main and secondary couple to find their happily ever after.
One of my favorite historical K-dramas . I like this one because of its funny angle with the body transition especially along with the chemistry between Kang Tae-Oh and Kim Se-Jeong ( love, love, love their romance). Seeing this series makes one's day. I really enjoy the secondary couple too plus the supporting characters(the Queen Dowager-her shipping of the main characters is a lot of fun, the left guard, personal eunuch, the 'parents' of Dal-I etc.) are very loveable too (well except the Left Minister-for him is only dislike). The soundtrack makes the drama very dreamy too and I can not wait for more scenes of Crown Prince and his fated Princess(/Merchant/Eunuch/Palace Lady/Concubine)...
