Eternal Bookworm, Anime/Manga addict since forever, Asian drama fanatic since 2005, and occasional gamer.  As an early millenial, I have absolutely no patience with the opinion police i.e people bulldozing you because your opinion is not the RIGHT opinion, people who can't disagree without throwing insults and/or personal attacks, overzealous fans, trolls, anti-fans, Chinese keyboard warriors, religious fanatics  who can't separate their faith from fiction, racists, homophobes etc.  and as such, I'm quick to block people. If you find me annoying, please do block me, I really don't care. It will also help me not to reach that dreaded 100 persons limit.

Side Note: Don't be fooled by how old my account is. I'm and old timer. Used to have another account since 2016 which I erased for a variety of reasons.

About my Drama Tastes:

I mostly watch Korean, Chinese and Thai dramas with the occasional Taiwanese and J dramas thrown in the mix. Not a big fan of the latter, so I mostly stick to Anime when it comes to Japan, though I have to admit I scarcely watch them anymore due mostly to lack of time and me becoming increasingly picky. 

I watch literally everything as long as it's not too gory and/or violent and/or sexualized but my favorite genres no matter the medium will always be Fantasy and Historicals preferably with good action scenes and both with a fairly good dose of romance as long it's not too gooey. 

Costume dramas are my jam as well as happy endings but bittersweet endings are acceptable if well done. I don't sign up for sad endings though, real life sucks enough as it is (albeit for a few exceptions, and the journey better be a happy one, I don't sign up for tragedies).

Favorite tropes include Enemies to Lovers, Gender Benders and Secret Identities.

Current Drama Status: 

2025 had been filled with mid and/or mediocre K dramas so far , but after being stuck in the middle of a bottomless K drama slump for MONTHS, Dynamite Kiss happened, 2 months before the end of the year... Well this won't save the whole year and I'm still not fully out of my slump, but FINALLY there's this one drama that reminds me of why I fell in love with K dramas in the first place.  Otherwise... well not gonna lie, I've been mostly sticking to C dramas this year.

ALSO SK: AIR THE SECOND SIGNAL AS IT WAS INTENDED. DON'T BOTCH MY ULTIMATE FAVORITE K DRAMA OR I WILL CURSE YOU FOREVER AND BEYOND!!!

Ratings :

I only rate shows I've completed. Most important criterium for ratings is my level of enjoyment and emotional investment. I don't care for perfect plots with no soul. If I don't care about any of a show's characters, no matter how tight the plot is, I won't rate it above 7.5, period. 

Anything 7.5 or below is not worth my time but if it's 5 or below, it enters the "give me back my hours" category. 

Anything 9 and above are dramas I'd heavily recommend to anyone and would rewatch if the occasion arises - 10 being my favorites - but not necessarily shows I would consider flawless.

Anything in-between is a nice one-time watch.

I only keep a Watching List and a Completed List. I don't subject myself to FOMO and as such don't keep a 'To Be Watched List'.  Likewise I don't keep a 'Dropped List' in order to avoid the temptation of giving another chance to a show widely liked that I personally abhored. Shows 'On Hold' usually get dropped so that's another list I don't keep.
