Why they are not updating episodes timeline 😵‍💫
They updated the airing time for the rest of the show (6 PM). On 1st day they start airing at 12 PM because they release 4-5 episodes and they want to give the show the best chance to have all the episodes watched on release day. This is normal behaviour for the most important dramas (6PM is the prime time spot)

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
wait people on lishan mountain are dead , when did that show, im so confused . I feel the directing of this novel…
When the current dowager empress was fighting for power, Lishan Academy was attacked for supporting some else for the throne. We know some of the scholars were beaten up/killed and some managed to escape.

The FL's young maid exists in her imagination, she has died 8 years ago in the massacre.

Here are some of the reasons (from the 1st 5 episodes):
1. the maid looks like a very young teenager and they have been on the mountain for 8 years. It doesn't make sense to send a child as the sole servant to take care of the FML.
2. nobody else acknowledges or interacts with the maid
3. after travelling for days, the maid said she wasn't hungry when they reached the capital
4. no maid sleeps in the same bed as her mistress
5. in some shots Bai Lu is sitting alone, and in the next shot, she is talking to the maid next to her
6. Bai Lu's guard looks at her with pity when she mentions the maid and her acquaintances from the mountain as if they were still alive
7. Her husband says she likes talking to herself a lot.

There are hints throughout the show that Ye Li is delusional (in the clinical sense of the word).

I'm so happy I don't have to go crazy looking for the next episode preview like other cdramas😁
The previews are longer (at least that was my impression).

is her maid , a ghost or her imagining?
It's her imagination. Her maid died on the mountain 8 years ago.

Considering the drama takes place in a fictional dinasty, it makes sense to borrow different elements from different historical periods.

I saw some fascinating discussions regading the armours and weaponry from PoJ, and they were from different time periods. Would someone not familiar with historical warfare notice? Of course not. Would an expert notice? Of course.

This is the fun part when you write/film a fictional story... you don't have to be historically accurate.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
Empress Dowager was sad after hearing about Yeli's mother's death. So she did care about her friend. She is guilty,…
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. And her intentions were not good to start with. She caused a massacre because she wanted power. She doesn't get to be sad that her friend died alongside her family.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
cannot fathom in the beginning , but yes . prince li was previously betrothed to Ye li, but cancelled it for some…
I think he ended the betrothal after the Lishan Academy massacre. Her maternal clan was a supporter of his claim to the throne and since he wanted power, he needed to re-adjust his plans. This is just me speculating, I have not read the novel yet.

Found this title explanation on Reddit (r/CDrama) :

"The Chinese drama title 莫离 (mò lí) can be translated as “never part” or “do not leave”.

It's a close homophone to 茉莉 (mò lì) which can be translated as “jasmine.”

There's a saying,

送君茉莉, 愿君莫离

sòng jūn mò lì, yuàn jūn mò lí

Sending you jasmine, wishing that you never leave

There are also homophones in the character names:

The character played by Bai Lu is 叶璃 Yè Lí while the character played by Cheng Lei is 墨修尧 Mò Xiū Yáo."

Taking down a plague, burning someone alive, and chopping down trees?? What else can she not do? 😂
Not be insane. But knowing cdramas, they probably have an ancient traditional chinese medicine cure for insanity 🤣

mdl was already very unreliable when it came to ratings but I must say I've logged in after 3 months of not being…
Media literacy is gone. I was dreading to finish A Splendid Match because everyone was talking what a fiasco the ending was. The ending was completely fine btw, it just didn't cater to every expectation that the audience had.

Why don't they fix the timing of EP release? It's still 9:30 AM😵
I sent a request a few hours ago but haven't received a reply yet.

Mo Li was a much better title, IMO. But, many times, the English-language title is poor compared to the Chinese…
Chinese drama fans will watch the show regardless of the title (for example Zhu Yu aka Chasing Jade aka Pursuit of Jade). This rebranding is for those who might watch on Netflix/Disney Plus/Prime and for that they want to have a title that is eye-catching and intriguing.

I'm still at episode 3 how come she's hallucinating?

2. nobody else acknowledges or interacts with the maid
3. after travelling for days, the maid said she wasn't hungry when they reached the capital
