They updated the airing time for the rest of the show (6 PM). On 1st day they start airing at 12 PM because they release 4-5 episodes and they want to give the show the best chance to have all the episodes watched on release day. This is normal behaviour for the most important dramas (6PM is the prime time spot)

It doesn't make sense to send a child as the sole servant to take care of the FML. 2. nobody else acknowledges or interacts with the maid 3. after travelling for days, the maid said she wasn't hungry when they reached the capital 4. no maid sleeps in the same bed as her mistress 5. in some shots Bai Lu is sitting alone, and in the next shot, she is talking to the maid next to her 6. Bai Lu's guard looks at her with pity when she mentions the maid and her acquaintances from the mountain as if they were still alive 7. Her husband says she likes talking to herself a lot.
Considering the drama takes place in a fictional dinasty, it makes sense to borrow different elements from different historical periods.
I saw some fascinating discussions regading the armours and weaponry from PoJ, and they were from different time periods. Would someone not familiar with historical warfare notice? Of course not. Would an expert notice? Of course.
