The way it went from Jinqi’s face to Lanxiang’s… hilarious one second, heartbreaking the next. 😭

I think it’s mainly their attitude toward relationships, marriage, personal choices, and social expectations. The older characters tend to look at things more through tradition and what society considers appropriate, whereas the younger ones seem more open-minded and accepting of individual choices. Even if the younger generation isn’t necessarily taking huge steps or actively challenging those traditions, you can still notice a shift in their way of thinking and what they consider normal or acceptable. Obviously, it doesn’t apply to everyone, but that subtle generational difference feels quite realistic to me.

I watched it till 20 something episode,it's fine just there's no chemistry between the leads at all that's hard to watch idk if I will drop it or continue watching

This C-drama keeps making me realise how much mindsets can differ between generations. The younger the characters are, the more broad-minded they seem compared to the older generation. Obviously, it doesn’t apply to everyone, but that generational gap in thinking is so noticeable—and it honestly reflects reality too.

So far so called antagonist miss Zhao and miss du were the types where I could see their point being reasonable but the thing is they didn't feel guilty for their misdeeds either so don't feel anything for them honestly be it pity or empathy whatever and now comes miss zheng
