I don't know why people doubt Lanxiang’s love for Jinqi… she loved him. They showed it in a dozen quiet ways that are different from an actual romance series. It’s common sense that it took her long to get there, but you can't possibly say she didn't love him, especially not after the scene where he returned from the capital six months later or the red rope scene.


The synopsis of this show has always heavily implied that she alone is the sole protagonist and the show will be mostly about her. It’s one of the reasons I hesitated to start the show but after watching I realised it’s somewhat like “Guardians of Dafeng” “The wanted detective” and “Legend of Zang Hai” where the romance was like a subplot in the story.

While so many others have different interpretations of that scene with the children… Here’s mine: I don't think she'd tell two children who feel isolated like that about “living for her husband” while she was trying to console them and teach them to stand firm. Even if it’s not about them being “children” must a woman live for her husband? Lanxiang didn't mention her friends, does that mean she doesn't love them anymore?

I think some of you made a big deal about that scene but I understand the confusion and doubt, her love was really subtle. It showed in the way she looks at him, the way she smiled at him when he did something sweet or humbled himself around her, the way she watched him with their kids, when he was grieving for Chengze and she felt his pain… if that's not love, then I don't know what love is.

But her grandma knew about the whole saga and implied that they thought the emperor would punish just the grandfather. Also… his sons were adults who stood ten toes behind him.

The guy was an asshole who harbored sexual thoughts toward FL’s mother, abused her daily, and kept blackmailing Xie Shu… it’s not far-fetched that Shen would give Xie benefit of the doubt and help him cover that up. People cover up that kinda shit even in today’s world… It’s understandable, but he should have been wary of him.

NOTHING AT ALL. No redemption, no remorse. Just tears cause he mostly ignored her at first and then she mostly in tears and was talking about some bullshit about how she married the boy she loved blah blah and boom at the end of episode 30 they reconciled😑

We don't need to experience to have an opinion. People go through this every day. It's like those men/women who won't leave a cheater, an abuser (Koh was emotionally abusive) Koh and Jira chose themselves in the end but we can't deny that it's a recipe for disaster.

I just finished episode 8… Why do I feel this is more “co-dependency” than love?

So… the money is keeping him? I know there's attraction, it was there since Jira first laid eyes on Koh in episode one but come on. Also like Koh only gave Jira a second thought when Jira helped him sleep (okay, that can be romantic…) And Koh suggesting using Jira’s art for money laundering? Lol

While I do know they will end up together for sure(I mean, Thai BLs always give HEAs), I don't think it's right. These men aren’t even ready for a relationship. They all need to reflect on themselves.

I really love the show though, it really makes you think and makes you feel deeply. Brb after I watch episode 9 maybe there’ll be some new development.

I thought it was a fun show until these comments 😂😂 Y'all gotta take a chill pill it's not that serious. One person said the gf was the only rational human in the show and another person finds her annoying. Which is it? 😅

I’m just here to say I love it though. It was a fun and messy watch. A little flaws here and there but not in the dramatic way people here are making it seem. So if anyone wants to watch, please do and make your own opinion cause the ones here are quite… uhm… dramatic? Lol
