Title Silent Truth Spoiler
I watched episode 4. Junichi is with his nurse girlfriend just because he finds her reasonable; I was also surprised…
Up to episode 4 the drama spent lots of time in detailing the character of 3 of the 4 friends. Junichi seems the most morally upright with him bringing his gf in meeting with Makiko and her son, and not going to dine with her afterwards (even though he might be the one killing the robber when in grade 6, early teen). Makiko, as a single mid 30 mother, only cared about her son and man relationship, approaching Junichi whenever possible even though he is the detective in her case. Keishuki very much consumed in competing with Junichi and, why should he murder someone for his ex wife while he already remarried? All 3 seems not fitting the profile of the killer in current time.

What's up with Makiko? She is eyeing the detective 🤭😋🫣
With romance part of the genre in this drama there has to be romantic tension between the 2 leads. No idea how it will end, happy or tragic.

Damn the preview to ep 5 is hinting to that the ML did actually kill the robber 23 years ago and that Naoto saw…
As predicted. That could be the only possible explanation why he stopped approaching Makiko afterwards with guilty feeling. But nothing is for sure with this drama's twists and turns.

Remember this is a murder mystery, a thriller with unpredictable twists and turns. Usually the most obvious suspect ends up not the guilty one, while the most unlikely one is the one. There is a chance Junichi killed the criminal 23 years ago (it is too long ago so he won't be charged now) and thats why he has been avoiding seeing Makiko afterwards, only watched her from a distance.

I love how they didn't spoil the series with romance.
It is not the normal type of romance plots at all. Their relationship built-up all about trust, which is the key requirement to solve Da Wit's own case, nothing more.

The main plot of the drama is the case of Da Wit himself. It is very very carefully planned. From the conoloscopy of Da Wit, which started from beginning of ep 6, to epilogue of ep 7, leading to the discovery by Gi Ppeum that Da Wit is innocent, the drama always planned for her helping him to prove his innocent. It is the most exciting, satisfying climax of the whole drama, the heroine saving the hero of the drama. One can now concluded that the hand holding the apple of temptation in the poster is that of Oh Jung In. For those who shipped her with Da Wit read below for the romance line:

Also add "parole examiner lee" another tvN legal crime drama which flew under radar.
One can only hope so. With such a tragic past of the ml, a drama cannot allow him keep living in the shadow of the tragedy, even after a year of time jump! And thats the contrast of Pro Bono, that Da Wit grown from the dream of a top judge and his promise to his mother, to someone who focussed on helping the disadvantaged, and the pro bono team

One Dollar Lawyer great until the last episode, which all of a sudden reversed all the growth the male lead achieved (after the murder of his previous girl friend), and back to living in the past, and ignoring all the needs of the other members in his law firm. Very disappointing.

I thought it was more of a Snow white story (ie the apple is poisoned)
David a man. Snow White ever sinful before and after eating the poisoned apple? The apple box is where the story began, and then David vs Goliath episodes followed

One forum pointed out the poster of Pro Bono has an apple in front of Da Wit, with the apple being held by a woman's hand if looked closely. Very much Adam and Eve implication. Whose the hand belongs to? 2 more episodes to review.

My heart truly aches for Dawit💔 He has always been alone, carrying everything by himself, with no one really…
One can make multiple interpretations of a well conducted scene of a great drama. Say the last few minutes of ep 10 when Da Wit is on the stand facing Gi Ppeum, if watched carefully, they never left their eyes off each other and their dialogues seems just between themselves. Even when Ms Oh said all the accusations are suggestive and the judge agreed no need to answer, the world around them seems disppeared with Da Wit answering straight to Gi Ppeum, except the moment when he admitted guilty towards the judge. And ended with locking eyes till end of episode. This is real high intensity, that you can make whatever interpretation you wished.

On the side of the pro bono team at ep 10 they are just doing their job as lawyers. They are forced by the CEO to take up the case against Da Wit. Lawyers are trained to provide the best outcomes for their clients, within the boundaries of the law, whether the client is a criminal, murderer make no difference. Morality, right or wrong, are not taken into account by the law, most often. In fact Gi Ppeum is put into the worst possible position in this conflicts between law and morality, as the accused saved her family in the past and now she has to put him into prison. This is called a drama.

Wait I finished episode 8 and I really don't think that there is any "main couple". Does this happen later?…
2 women in the last 2 episodes whom Da Wit, the hero of this drama met personalily. One comfortably, whom he knew for a long time and he quite understandings her, no drama, on the same side, one wins both win. The other full of emotion, conflicts, wanted to tell all the truths but that can only bring more misunderstanding, lots of unspoken words, just full of angst, and if she wins he might lose everything. He is reflecting all the emotions of not having her trust very much according to epilogue of ep 7. But at the end he put his fate with the unlikely one (seemingly, for sure more twists and turns). A great great drama, but this is a common trope of kdramas to show the significant one. I bowl to the acting of Jung kH, reminded me of his hard luck love story in Hospital Playlist.

There are some attractive photos of the main couple of Pro Bono on a December issue of a Korean beauty magazine. So the production company has been promoting it, no secret.

That's pretty much the plotline. Reviewing his part of the truths the only way to expose all other truths, the only way the drama can end. He is also posting a most difficult question to Gi Ppeum, would she put someone in jail, who saved her family, give her the chance to become a lawyer, because that someone just want to revenge for the destruction of his own family? Certainly correct legally but to Gi Ppeum, also wrong morally totally. In legal system prosecutors can hide facts legally in order to win, to put someone in jail.

The great thing of a forum is everyone can have a different view.
Not giving any forecast here purely on observation of episode 10. With ending near the drama used one of the common kdrama trope. 2 women played a significant role in the trial of Da Wit. 1st one helping him, one wins both win, no need to know the truths and cover them if needed. The 2nd one if she win, all truths have to be disclosed, and Da Wit will loose everything (on surface only). And of course he picked the one in the most dramatic fashion at the end. What the drama told us? Make your own judgement.
