Thats my guess too.. actual the whole ML's brother issue.. may be it was tye last emperor or crown prince , some one suspected some danger and had decree issued .. and ML's brother arrieved with his army ...and meanwhile emperor and /or crown prince gor killed ...and the surviving faction (emperor dowager and her croony) labelled ML's brother as rebelling and traitor and gor him executed.. and marquis may have helped with killing emperor/crown prince and destroying decree... also. Fl's mother may have help carried the decree.... which was reason for ML's family destruction, so feel indebted...looks like ML is not aware of FL's mothers role..and he isnt hating of FL for this

There is some subtleness to the drama , which i took some time to get used to. But the same subtleness is giving it interesting vibe... i love it..

Am curious aboit the story there...why were they banished ..because of their association with leshan academy..grandfather being the head..are the teachers and grand father still alive.. if they are..why is she so poor to be not able to affort travel expenses

But this young emperor is not a dummy.
He has his own thoughts ..and making his own plans and taking actions to get the reigns firmly into his own hands...
He is a bit naive to think he can show his emotions directly or act directly on his adversaries..his mother is playing a safer game..and he seem to think his mother is power hungry.. she is weighing their power /chances and advancing or retreating wisely... she may not be a great person.. may be antogonist in this series..but she isnt harming her son , the emperor..

8 years back so many things seem to have happened coincidentally....emperor died..MLs family got into trouble with brother executed.. FLs family threw out her mother (?) And her(?).... and she went off to leshan academy where she doesnt seem to have lived well..... empress dowager is guilty of something... maybe something to do with FLs family and leshan academy ..or may be all..which she may have accomplished using marquis hand..

The maid she seem to be talking to seem to be dead for sometime.. she is too young to have accompanied her during her time on the mountain...it seems the maid died at the age she appears to her
. ...so whats the story there?... was it so traumatic that she keeps seeing her.. i suspect there is anyone else on that mountain top currently (though she spins a rosy story to empress dowager about going ons at the leshan academy)...all the teacher and student alumni of leshan seem to be hunted and killed ..otherwise she wouldnt go that ruthlessly after the antagonists.. also, she seem to see not only the dead maid..that brother he too.. because that ye family security guy who is her senior brother asks about brother he before confirming she is seeing dead and talking to dead.... i think

Study maths now..the series is not running away..you wont be able to focus on it anyways..so study well, and onces your tests arw over. Come and watch it without anyone disturbing you....parents happy, ypu are happy too

ML and his sister in law seem to have given up on life and any postive coming out of their lives.. i feel sad for ML's nephew..that young kid seem to be very smart but have to contend with 2 gloomy people at home..instead od focusing on past..it would do good for his SIL to focus on her son..and him on his own future..now thag he has a wife..amd may be heirs in future..or does he think rheir futurw is so bad that it is bettwr not to bring any heirs into this world

So whats the problem with her 1st bethrothed... prince li..he was afraid to be associated with leshan alumni... or assumed a mountain top raised girl wont be a match for the great guy he is ... and but later he seemed to be pretty upset to have not wedded her...
For someone deemed favorite bachelor of the capital, he wasnt gentlemanly enough to wed his bethrothed...and got out of it to avoid trouble..

First off, i am really enjoying the series. This one you will click on next after each episode. Sticky series...

Coming to what i dont like.... its too fast , seems like the makers are trying to pack a lot into fewer episodes. So it seems to run a bit faster, sometimes without any explanations.. esp , the begining ..1st few minutes ..you dont get whafs going on..though you pick on later what it was..

I like that the voices are subtle not screechy..but its a bit too subtle sometimes to me...also the audio is little low i think, and back ground music is bit lacking.....😔

Other wise..love it a lot... bailu and cheng lei are rocking....👍👍👌👌

Ep6.... park seong jae is really a warm person. Always there for his friends. I wish he succeeds in his love..though FL seems too sick in her love of ML.. only because PSJ loves her am wishing he succeeds in his love..else he deserves someone who is also a warmhearted pwrson and loves him immensely...ML is too cold for me to like

I undeestand ML character but cant like him..FL is excessively sick in her love of ML.. wasnt a no enuff to back off.. she pushes him too hard for explanation...and when he gives , she ruminates on it confronts him again on it..going on couple of rounds....what is there to understand or need explaining when someone says No.. back off and find someone who reciprocates equally and warmly.. not cold hearted ones

He actually answered that his response is what he said 10 years ago...what did he say? I didnt catch anything from their conversation in their younger years in hospital. Did you figure what he meant by that?

Some rants after reading chapter 199 of novel...everytime ye xian's mother tells hima woman like jinzhao is unworthy of their household, i feel tempted to give her a tight slap.. i wanted him to say she is the reason their marquisite survived ..their family was not branded traitors.. her husband. , father in law and even daughter and grand daughter ..all alive due to jinzhao.. i want him to say the whole story to his family and get their permission to marry jin zhao...but i also realise how dangerous disclosing such an information is in the most politically volatile realm... she might lose her life if it is known she helped yexians family.... so unfair for her..

Also , yexian ...idiot still not realizing what are his feelings towards her.. it might be too late by the time he figures his feelings..he had 1 year of time to figurw before chen yanyun makes an entry into female leads life..still he messes it up by not realizing what his feelings are...really shame
